Wait. Is the beta only for people who preordered the game?
Yep, tomb raider is definitely 1080p (lots of speculation that it's not). But if it is, it commonly drops below 30 all the way down to 24. And everyone whose played both versions say that it looks blurier than the ps4 version (a sign that it's lower res). Sports game aren't typically very difficult to run. And indie devs rarely utilize a console's full power.
The problem that I've been reading from essentially every dev is that 60mb is the minimum they can do for a 1080p frame buffer without having to get too creative. So yes, the xbox one will have 1080p games, they'll just have to lower everything else to the point where the game might actually look better in 900p.
I don't know why, but fallout has always bored me to tears.
@madjedi. I'm a computer geek, I know Moore's law lol.
Yeah lol. That's how things kind of work when power of technology doubles every couple years.
It's because the ps4 is simply the better console of the two. For 6 months the ps4 was stronger and cheaper. Now it's stronger and the same price. So still a better value. Once the xbox one is cheaper than the ps4, and xbl provides more value, I'll say it's a fair game.
It's hard to tell because of the fact that neither gif is in 1080p, which annoys the crap out of me when an article tries to compare graphics. I will say though that the water definitely looks far better on the hood of the car in DC, considering it's treated like a fluid and not a static marble. I'd say reflections are more realistic in DC, considering that the hood of a car isn't a mirror like it is in FH2. Lighting is hard to compare because the gifs are at different times o...
For a console, having a weaker cpu makes sense. You can do more hat trick to make up for it. Also, the ps4's cpu is only twice as strong as a tablet cpu. Wouldn't exactly call it weak.
I'm pretty sure gearbox is basically the reason they have 8gb.
Microsoft can keep telling us that they're going to have a working cloud. But until I see an actual game running it over the internet (not LAN) I won't believe that they can actually get it up and running.
The difference is already apparent even though I'm looking at the pic in a small window on a non 1080p screen.
I think that they'd want to space them at least a month apart.
Microsoft has had an annoying parity clause. Kinda funny seeing how they react when it happen to them.
PS+ isn't great for the ps4 yet. Give it a year thought, and I'm sure it will be.
The MGS1 fact was hilarious.
I don't get it. If you don't want it, don't buy it! TLOU remastered is simply a GOTY edition on a new console.
Good job, you can name a few games that are in 1080p. It's attainable, you just have to sacrifice a lot more to do it. Also, there's some speculation that Halo 2's campaign won't be 1080p. On their website, as of a couple days ago, at least, no resolution is being offered. For microsoft, this is quite weird if the game is in 1080p. I say this because microsoft is shouting from the rooftops every time a game is 1080p and/or 60fps. Seriously watch e3, it's kind of hilarious....
When HD says something, I trust it. They're one of the only compaines I can say that about.
Thanks. The article wasn't very clear.
