This game is my new crack after Pixel Junk Monsters. I was going through withdrawal after beating it!
PJM (Encore) is still my PS3 crack. All day.. everyday..goodness.
You have to understand that developers never programmed for their soundtracks to be changed. You cannot expect Sony to magically know the code used to turn off the soundtrack and pick out the game sounds specifically. If in-game soundtracks are to be used, I would want it to be used well, not just turn off all sounds and play music that I want.
LOL! I have not laughed this hard in a while. Bubbles.
I am really excited about this one. Watching all the videos made me very curious about how the game progresses. I can't wait!
The armor looks pretty sweet. Did you guys check out the integrated lightbar? On a design note, the overlap of the air vents on the back is bad. It blocks part of the most important vent of the PS3. You also cannot use the auto mode when you have your PS3 connected via HDMI, but I can just as easily walk over and turn it off myself. Other than that, it looks cool.
The size of the hard drives may be increased dramatically, but what about the performance? Also, this technology seems that it may be rather expensive compared to the traditional hard drive technology we use. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
This game has gotten me extremely excited about gaming with others. To be able to sit and enjoy this easily with a friend was just what I was looking for from the ps3. Any friend can come over and enjoy what PixelJunk Monsters has to offer by playing alongside and not having to sit and watch. Everyone that I showed this game to is already addicted-- including myself! Bring on the expansion!
I would so get this for my psp too. However, if you have the ps3, you can play any ps1 game already through remote play on your psp. It is just up to you if you want to pop the disc in though.
This has already increased PS3 sales at my Target. We can no longer keep the PS3 in stock now, but before we always had a plethora in the stockroom. I work the electronics counter, and today alone, I have received 14 calls asking if the PS3 was in stock. (Yes, I count them.) Of course, I had more calls about the Wii... but this came as a surprise to me. The media was quick telling the public about Blu-Ray's status over HD-DVD.
You have to remember, the limit for DVD-9 is about 8.5 GB. Of course games had to be compressed to fit-- otherwise, we would not have them. When developers are thinking about the DVD-9 standard, I am pretty sure they know how much raw data they could theoretically have, and what type of compression would best fit on the disc. The point is: Devs ARE filling up DVD-9s and probably would utilize more space if given the option.
I've been reading N4G for quite some time, just quietly reading the articles and Beats had me excited since I heard EU got it. After sitting down and playing it for myself, I have to give this game a big thumbs up! For it to make me register and post about it is something else. Try it-- This game is definitely worth a shot.
I woke up this morning expecting to turn on some music before I got in the shower only to see it get stuck on the loading screen. I thought it was just a fluke, but when I could not do the manual reset, I got pissed. After a bit of my normal morning web-browsing, I chanced upon an article directly from msn. I confirmed it by going directly to zune's official website: www.zune.net/en-US/support/def ault.htm
