Agreed! The concerned few would be well away from the action, but I still think that the dullness that exists within the surrounding area leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not looking for some kind of cheesy 80's hostage situation ripped from a bargain-bin action film that involves a picket line full of civilians and a negotiator with a megaphone, but it'd still be beneficial I feel to offer more than just a few wisps of smoke and an abandoned squad car. All of the games action is c...

Not a fan I take it? That's fair enough, Siege's twitchy and tactical blend isn't suited to everyone's taste. Like I said in the review, I feel as though the 'core' of the game is rather solid, but everything else that surrounds it is rather unkempt.
Outside of the aforementioned technical issues, it's been a great shooter to play as I wait for something more typical like Battlefield V or Overwatch.

Thanks for reading!

There's definitely a lot of worthwhile stuff to do beyond the main story. I remember watching the first F4 trailer in which they showed settlement building and thinking that it seemed incredibly 'tacked-on'. With the time I've spent tending to my town, I think my playtime would've nearly halved had it not been included in the game at all. I've had a great time scavenging with companions and lugging a huge haul of scrap all the way back home. And it looks like the recen...

I played as the female character for this exact reason. I wasn't too keen on the male protag's voice based off the initial trailers either.

And thanks dude, glad you liked it!

Logged 9 days total so far pre-DLC. Takes about a good 25 seconds to scroll down the list of my completed quests! Can't wait for Automatron, that's for sure. Thanks for reading!

Score isn't an average, as it says under the overall total.

I remember reading something recently stating that Star Wars 1313, the previously cancelled Coruscant-based RPG, could yet be revived. So, for the Star Wars purist, there's still hope outside of Battlefront.

The game is remarkably beautiful, no doubt. No clipping or draw-distance problems either, just solidly designed environments and magnificent aesthetics.

It's great that Battlefront has its niche, I completely agree with you. In being a casual shooter, it appeals to those too overawed by the flashing lights of modern CoD titles, too tired of Battlefield's killing marathons. The more competition in the FPS market, the better I say. It'll be interesting to see how much of an effect the release of Battlefront's first DLC will have on its population drop-off, for sure.

I've actually recently purchased the Hearts of Stone physical edition, but I was planning on tackling it at some point next year when I've given a fair bit of time to the likes of Fallout 4 and Battlefront. Once the shine of a Winter's worth of great games starts to dull a little, then I'll happily resume my journey as Geralt. Heart's of Stone looks fantastic, and the prospect of Blood and Wine being an even heftier expansion makes it even harder to res...

I wasn't really 'in' to RPG's back when Fallout 3 came out, so, rather predictably, I gave up on it around the 15 hour mark. It's a shame because I feel as though current me would've loved it. I still may go back to it at some point down the road.

Since 3 though, I've given hundreds of hours of my life to SKYRIM, Inquisition and The Witcher III. I'm ready for a new Fallout now, and this post definitely hyped me up that little bit more. Good stu...

I appreciate that, but it's hard get around these circumstances without them leaving a bad taste in your mouth. I felt as though Battlefield 3's problems were negligible compared to those of Battlefield 4, at least from my perspective anyway. I never had any problem simply 'playing' the game with Battlefield 3, however imbalance was rife as per usual.

I've been playing the Battlefield games since the original Bad Company. Seeing Battlefield 4 marred with s...

I love Battlefield, and now that things have settled down, I can honestly say that I'm enjoying Battlefield 4 more than ever. The problems were well publicized though, and they weren't just limited to me. It's good that your experience was relatively hassle-free, but speaking as somebody who also played beyond the second month of launch, they were far from isolated incidents.

I think DICE's problems may have been exacerbated by the fact that the lead Battlefie...
