I thought the PS4 didnt except external HD??
I guess a USB memory stick is different.
EDIT - OK just read the link. Cool. 3 options to update.
The main one that sticks out to me is being able to update the system via a game disc.
I wonder if MS wen this route. Not everyone has a internet connection always available. But im sure those early adopters (like myself) have internet.
these reviews are so....hmm generic. where can I get a deeper review. Hell I could of written this review and I have only played the current gen version.
I feel these early reviews are rushed out and really lacking in anything of substance.
no talk of hc or core mode...about consoles getting 64 player counts and how different it is from current gen.
superficial!
there is no way at 720 it should be any good!! /s
I dint mind the xbone used...but it feels like they never even played it. that's what they call a review??
no talk about the jump to 64 players?
no talk about the new engine?
nothing about if the destruction is better in next gen verse current?
this is more a preview imo.
ok...based on reading this. does it seem like a real vague review????
it's not real deep at all.
"To some people, the difference will be negligible. Battlefield 4 on Xbox One is still visually astounding: the lighting and particle effects – particularly during the single-player campaign - are remarkable, and the fact that DICE manages to maintain a fluid 60FPS without a hitch is truly praiseworthy. Both versions offer a noticeable step up over the current-generation far beyond just the frame-rate, and while there are subtle differences in quality between the top-end PC version and n...
you know what. that seems like it could be a great idea.
I wonder would or could they have the update available on a disc?
that would kill the need for a internet connection that some don't have.
Im not sure how tv is viewed over there. Do you guys have cable boxes or something similar?
From what I have seen in Demoes for the X1 the system is in standby always on. So would I be turning on my system to watch TV. Most likely NOT.
What I will be doing is turning my system on. See what my friends are doing. Checking out videos, movies on netflix, gaming, watching TV as well.
They are basically making it so that you use the XB one as your...
@timotim
Trust....if the PS4 was touting what MS was trying to do with the XB One. All these people knocking it would be praising it.
I myself am looking forward to next gen. Yes the games are a given. But for $400 OR $500 I want more then a gaming machine.
This is NOT the XBOX or PS2 era where ALL the thing did was play games.
Hell when you look at your friends list on XBOX 360 or PS3 what are they all doing?? For me its a ...
@cbuc1125
I 100% agree that a launch lineup doesnt define a console.
And yes the 360 didnt have any major hitters in the last few months leading up to the XBOX One. They seemed to focus on having some solid titles for the next gen launch.
But on the other side....Sony chose to have games on the tail end of the PS3 and not much heavy hitters for the PS4 launch.
It comes down to preference. BOTH systems will have heavy hitters...
I was messing with you on my first comment. But pretty much I never played 1 or 3 for Killzone. Played #2. It wasnt bad but also not as great as some make it.
It comes down to preference. I prefer larger scale action like MAG or Battlefield series.
how dare you!!!! /s
the video demo looks solid.
I haven't watched the interview. but I can bet if the roles were reversed right now for Sony and ms...the Sony faithful would be singing praises for Kinect...tv integration...and how there preferred console is a media hub beast!
I can honestly say that outside of specs...what exactly is all this greatness about?
dude...as long as it's made by ms. there are few that will give that video it's props no matter what.
I myself watched it and realize it's much more then tv integration. I like how they added the pics to the I guess I'll call it news feed thing.
the question I have is...if it's all about the games...outside of kz and knack ... where are the must have launch games?
for a system that is touted as mainly gaming I feel that th...
for the few who haven't played DR before...I hope they realize there is a story also.
videos like this hopefully doesn't paint the game in a bad light. cause a few May think this is ALL you do is run around hacking and slashing
one thing this video didn't show (which is good) no parts of the story.
I like how you can on the fly combine let's say a car and steamroller but they took the time to make an animation for getting in vehicles. I like the choice.
the story I hope is good. I know just running around like video has it's limits on keeping me interested.
the thing I hated about Dr2 was having to always go give the daughter zombrex. I just felt ther...
I have to agree. I'm not a kill zone fan. not interested in knack or Indies. so the ps4 for me will come second when there library builds..or that must have game releases.
out of the three exclusives I'm interested in all three. which ones I actually buy is another question I haven't answered yet.
I KNOW bf4 I'm getting...most likely nba2k14.
ranking the three...from one being most wanted
1. Dr3 (loved the fir...
I wish people would stop with the bs about the 360 ui being full of ads.
one advert on the bottom left of each page...one advert the more often then not has a game tied into it...somehow means full of ads???
the reason this bothers me is that when people read it...who have never gamed on the 360 take it as a fact. then others just use this false info as ammo.
the 360 ui is not full of ads!!!
I cant see many early adopters buying a PS4 or XB1 and NOT have a internet connection.
Hell being that the XB1 has most if not all the main features behind a membership. The notion of buying one and NOT having a internet connection is the fault of the consumer.
Its like me buying a (wifi only) tablet and getting home and realizing that it needs wifi to work and not having wifi.
