That's great news then
Yes but it doesn't provide a camera so it's just an expensive 1080p TV headset.
I suggest Sony make a bundle for both items since it's a requirement otherwise it's not a VR headset on it's own.
The whole point of VR is field of vision and movement.
I can't believe how gullible people are about this, are you making the suggestion that if I don't own or cannot afford a camera then I can still use it as a headset TV that costs more than the console it's self and owning a TV in the first place?
if they are selling it as VR then they should provide the camera as a bundle otherwise it's not VR and that is alot of money for a headset TV on ...
No thanks i'll just use my TV
You all saw the articles on this as a prototype and people talking about it knew about it too.
I can't see it being 100% like that though.
Oculus hands down beats PSVR that is fact due to the specs and will be able to perform more.
Sony did the right thing they provided good affordable entertainment (or extended entertainment for the Playstation 4) for everyone.
The argument is you need to spend more for the camera if you don't own one.
They should of made it more clear from the start how much both were since you need both to work.
Just because you own something does not mean everyone else does. You need that camera not want it.
They should create a bundle.
What SONY should do is provide VR and a camera as a regular bundle. I have a feeling some people are just going to buy the VR and wonder why it's not working.
But this article is correct it's not just one single price as everyone didn't get a camera.
I perfer a game that provides more pixels for rhe same game
In order of the game to look good then yes the more pixels on the screen, the more detail you will see more noticeable on larger screens.
How hard is that to understand?
Quite sad that someone focuses so much time and effort in so little timeframe.
130hrs that's unhealthy.
Sony VR spec wise isn't as good as the other two but they did the right thing, half the price on a popular system with big support.
I'm still waiting for the Cloud, DX12 and Win 10 combo where people on here were warning me of massive change. My system still provides 720p games.
Some people on here should be salesman they would do well talking rubbish and non factual specs.
So come on then where is all this magic sauce and supreme graphics everyone said were going to happen on here?
Oh that's right it didn't happen because the system as a whole is so weak seeing large changes in graphical terms were almost impossible.
You can still applaude Microsoft for doing something though.
Lol what?
Pong the Wii was a fully packaged console the VR is a unit that needs a camera and a Playstation console to work
The VR is also more expensive than a Playstation so a rather poor comparison to be honest.
I think this game with VR will be a better experience being about exploring however I am more than happy to play it on my TV.
Yes, VR is the must have item the gimmick of 2016. It's not just games consoles doing this it's also mobile phone companies making them.
It's a phase and it will slowly die down when the hype is out of the way.
Nothing to do with Playstation VR it's more about Xbox One having changed identity more than once.
I have a useless camera and an outdated controller and were not even in three years of this.
My Playstation provides the same controller and if I were to buy a camera, it would be upgraded with a VR system.
See the difference??
