You clearly never played PC games.
A very dumb move, one of the reasons Xbox became stale.
Price is too high, definitely for the premium user.
Hate to tell you but they want Xbox One and Series X to both be playable.
It's not going to be 399.
You will see a basic 8k game to prove a point these next gen are going to be 4K with higher frames and looking better.
It's average.
Basically you can play the same games just one provides premium graphics etc the other will not.
I keep hearing to return and this is a different game to when it first started.

It's not a massive deal breaker especially if you understand the FF7 storylines.

Nothing to worry about from what I've seen, I'd now consider a 4KTV with HDMI 2.1to maximise the experience.
Who wants to buy something that doesn't have it's own catalogue of games?
Problem with Microsoft is, there is only so many Halo, Forza and Gears games you can provide before people generally are fed up.
Wait till 2022 and see what they offer but it will be a big blow to Microsoft going down this route, almost irresponsible.
