You honestly didn't tell me a thing except a life story about how you have owned all home consoles and that you're a programmer (is it even for gaming?).
WHAT I AM SAYING... is that brand name is a HUGE portion of sales. Which I've already stated clearly with Apple, Sony, and Nintendo.
Yes. I was disappointed with the Playstation 2 for a couple of years due to the fact that I was young when I bought it. There was literally nothing that could cater to me except for a ...
Of course they're happy with the performance. They're not going to admit that the thing is not selling well.
"Unless you have proof that its actual sales and not replacements for RROD'd consoles it would be nice if you stopped the same old song and dance"
You realize that the majority of people out there still have a 3 year warranty and get their console replaced for free, right? So how in the world would that count towards sales?
"And also, brand names alone have never and will never be the reason that consumers do their shopping."
That's absolute bullsh*t... Apple products sell like a mother#)!%#( and yet they're priced to oblivion compared to other products that can do the same thing.
The Playstation brand right now IS going by it's name and the fact that it's made by Sony. I remember when I got my Playstation 2 just due to the fact that I knew it was Playstation and owned the fir...
Final Fantasy XIII - It already has a release date for the States and Europe, which is in 2010. I'll probably get it for PS3. Hardcore FF fan here. Had them all for the Playstation.
God of War III - This game BETTER be innovative and I need to see some improvement first. I absolutely loved the first game... but the second one just felt like a expansion and felt that absolutely nothing was improved on or added to.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - I never finished the firs...
2 Gears games with higher scores > Killzone 2. D:
Don't get me wrong. Because I bought Killzone 2 and enjoyed the hell out of it. I'm just looking at it in the practical sense.
I was aware that Ubisoft mentioned that it actually ran better on the 360.
You know. I never agree with saying that a game will ultimately flop just because I feel like it.. but my hopes are not high for this.
Resistance 2 proved to me that "Greater number of players does not = Better game." Although the co-op was kinda neat.
I disagree in the sense that an RPG can be whatever it feels like really. The Fable series has this great vibe to it that I would not want replaced by anything else.
Just to throw it out there, but Fable 2 was one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen.. the music, graphics(especially), and the quirky British humor is what made me like the game
I DO agree however, that there were some flaws with Fable 2, despite it being a magnificent game. One of which was that ...
"Nobody cares about your crappy little PC"
You realize that a gaming PC would bend a PS3 over and rape it, correct?
1. No limitations (Unlike the PS3/360)
2. Upgradable (Unlike the PS3/360)
3. I guarantee you someone could get a PS3 exclusive game on the PC
Oh, and it cost me half the price to make my computer play the quality a PS3 does.
Where are you getting that Huxley has been canceled? The website is still up and they're still advertising the Xbox 360 version. Not to mention the forums are still going.
http://www.huxleygame.com/
Pretty sure I could play every one of those games on my PC with the ATI Radeon 4890. Not to mention they used computers to develop it rofl.
And the 'future' seems to be streaming on the 360 :x
This game is fun but it is seriously lacking in content. A handful of weapons. A 6-7 hour story. A multiplayer with only 10 ranks and 8 maps.
I haven't touched the game in a while...
Idk.
I loved MGS4 and that was one of the most funniest things I've read all day Necro. Thanks xD
Haha... that is a damn good question xD
"had hiccups"
Why would the 360 have hiccups from the Final Fantasy XIII engine? Every engine that has ever come out that was optimized on the PS3 and then used on the 360 has worked fantastically. Cant say the same for it going from 360 to PS3 though :x
@BlackPrince
You named a total of 3 games, bro...
@Morganfell
How can the FFXIII engine be optimized for the Playstation 3 if it is going to be running on the Xbox 360 as well and (from this article) not suffer any hiccups during porting?

Now you're just going off-topic, man. The initial statement from you was "brand names alone have never and will never be the reason that consumers do their shopping."
Which was incorrect.
