I have an OG PS5 and a PS5 Pro. Also had a midrange PC until recently for BG3 and Europa Universalis + other grand strategy games. PC is nice but I use my PS5 Pro way more for some reason.
The truth is sometimes you can't see the difference between PS5 and a Pro at all. Other times there is a night and day difference like FF7 Rebirth. And sometimes the devs fuck up the PSSR and makes the game run worse like the USSR.

I get where you're coming from but it's not weird. SH2 is self contained in a way with minor references to the others. Only the Rebirth-ending and some of the paintings are a nod to the cult.
