Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
I've been saying GamePass is bad for the gaming industry from the jump. Honestly I like Phil Spencer as a person. He genuinely seems like a really good guy. That said, he and his team's poor decisions, like GamePass, coupled with confusing and contradictory messaging, and lack luster hardware sales is more than enough reasons for MS to move on and bring in a new team with new ideas. At this point I think strategically they should exit the dedicated hardware space for now and focus on ...
Oh, yeah, bet your bottom dollar Game Pass Ultimate price will go up. By holiday season this year it'll be $29.99 US minimum if not $39.99 US. Especially when they see the Switch 2 game sales irregardless of price increases. That and the release of GTA 6 $79.99 US for the base addition sells like hot cakes. Those sub prices are going up. They'll need it to help recoup the losses on hardware sales they've had since the Xbox One. That and the ridiculous Activision purchase all while...
These articles are getting more lazy and opinionated. They are designed to stir the pot and honestly it's becoming pathetic. Games media is an industry that has suffered from the social media flood gates opening up to every Tom, Dick, and Harry.
Stop acting like this is an industry move and strategic vision.
Lifetime sales of the PS5 have outpaced those of the PS4 by 7%, while Xbox Series consoles have fallen 18% behind Xbox One in the US.
This is the reason period! That's why they don't mention Nintendo because they would sound even more foolish. Xbox is doing this because of sales. Economics 101.
This Xbox just wants you to play the games is out right misleading. They changed direction because they had too. Like Sega Dreamcast, the reason this is happening is due to poor hardware and software sales.
If Xbox was in the driver seat this wouldn't be happening so please stop acting like it is for any other reason other than poor Xbox sales. IGN was a big stoker of the console war flames because you all chose to partake in it.
The Wii U was a fail...
As long as there are rural areas that don't support high bandwidth speeds that won't happen in the next 2 to 3 decades. This isn't streaming music or movies that don't require any interaction or bandwidth that supports low latency while providing stable framerates and high definition visuals.
Not only that but the costs to consumers that will increase to pay for the infrastructure and technology needed to support it. The cloud is a physical data center. As l...
That's not a good example. MS enforces "feature" parity and all titles "must" release on both day and date. Sony does not have that same requirements for their last gen console. That's why you see games like Black Myth: Wukong, Astro Bot, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Stella Blade, etc.
He's not acting they don't. It's funny how people make these ass backwards statements like "look at their earnings" because they're running around the halls of MS praising Xbox hardware barely competing in the console space.

People are greatly mimizing the effort to switch to NVIDIA. That and as a business why would Xbox sink more R&D money into hardware that has been declining in sales over the last 12 yrs? Finacially it makes no sense for them to switch to NVIDIA. For better or worse they bet the farm on GamePass and spending a ton on buying already established multiplatform companies for their IPs. I could see that as a potential option if Xbox hardware sales weren't so bad. Not only that but the head ...
I think this is a bigger deal than some of you estimate. I think Bloodborne will be enhanced for the new hardware. They will announce BloodBorne 2 for a late 2026/early 2027 release. This doesn't make FromSoftware exclusive but it's a nice money move and BloodBorne will profit some off the success of Elden Ring which should bring in new Bloodborne players and some late to the PS5, PS4 owners. Let's not forget Bloodborne sold 7.5 million copies. It should also help Sony show they c...
I'm looking forward to playing this game but not because of an IGN score. I don't trust Incompetent Gaming Nerds for anything prior to 2010 or any other big gaming media sites.
IGN - Indiana Jones Is the Best Xbox Exclusive in Years (Xbox exclusive?)
IGN - 9/10
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle nails nearly everything about the best parts of the storied franchise upon which it’s based, from the title card and location fonts to Harris...
You do know Guerrilla Games created both Killzone and Horizon games. They are the creators and developers of both IPs.
@CrimsonIdol for someone who wouldn't buy a Pro you sure have a lot to say about it. You folks have to stop because we all see through it. I am unfortunately not surprised to still see the term "fanboy". Before sites like IGN and the others moved to all OPINION driven gaming media vs. un-biased where anyone with the internet is able to peddle misinformation and trash one could get good information about present and future gaming news.
I believe it is one of t...
So is the iPhone, Galaxy, a 4070, an LED. You can recommend people buy those and spend their money elsewhere but guess what? People that want an iPhone Max, Galaxy Ultra, 4090 or an OLED for the extra features tech, power, and features buy them. That's what they are designed for, a smaller segment of consumers that want those said additions. Why these articles come out in the gaming space is odd because the majority of gamers reading your site know what the tech offers and have decided. N...
Why do people who aren't going to buy a PS5 Pro have so much to say about something they will not own and has barely reached the market? I will never buy a gaming PC so I don't talk about them either way. There are people that will buy an expensive GPU every year or two. I have nothing to say either way. The problem is the internet is a place for trolls and like most sites they play into their nonsense because it brings traffic to them which equates to more revenue. If you don't p...
It shouldn’t be a surprise. The internet is a place where the complainers are the loudest and once one starts they all join in chorus, but it normally doesn’t translate into the marketplace. People forget how many complainers there were when the PS5 was announced at 500 and not 400 (USD) but we see how that turned out. When cell phones jumped in price from hundreds to a thousand the internet cries rained down but were quickly silenced when people spoke with their dollars. Moral of the story, ...
Well said, and they'll spend double that to get a new 5090 to play PlayStation ports that were released a year or two prior.
