Depends on what you're going for really.
Nobody I know has spent $3000 on a PC, usually around 600-700 to max out all current games.
PC's have mods for almost infinite playability, cheaper games, better online gaming (most of the time) and you have a PC so you can browse the net, create videos, watch movies, listen to music, watch online tv, create documents, etc...
Sounds like a better deal to me.
Split screen lag is especially bad
MW3 has survival mode, Gears has horde mode and I can see BF3 having dino mode
