If it wasn't Metal Gear and it wasn't Konami I might be tempted to try it, but they shouldn't be rewarded for their fuck-ups. The FOX Engine is great and MGS5 had great gameplay even without a story so it's a shame this will be all it's used for. I feel bad for the developers who stuck around to keep their jobs because they're the ones who will truly suffer for Konami's behavior.
There's something really charming about this, haha
Yes, this is standard business practice, what's your point? It's not like it's evil or anti-consumer. If someone wants one of those games they can get it for cheaper. It's a win-win.
Yes, and rightfully so.
If anyone else said that I wouldn't believe them, but I have faith in Kojima. If the actual game is anything like the trailer it will be the first art-house game for sure. That said, mainstream audiences will definitely not "get" it.
Only because they want eSports to be real sports. eSports will never be like real sports. Stop trying to make eSports like real sports. eSports commentators use in-jokes because it's audience already knows those jokes. People don't come for a play-by-play, they come because it's a community that they feel connected to. Non-gamers who don't know what's going on will never be interested in watching eSports, even with everything explained to them.
As for th...
This guy doesn't even know what Crush Counters are... Get this scrub out of here. Not to mention this is a low-quality Wordpress blog, should not be featured on this site.
In Dark Souls the difficulty is part of the design space. The whole point of the game is your character is persevering against impossible odds as the world falls apart around them. Without the difficulty, the game loses it's oppressive atmosphere and sense of danger. This diminishes the world and takes away any gravity from those "epic boss fights" you enjoy so much. This is even a major part of the narrative, Undead who give up "go hollow" and are never seen from agai...
That's not my point at all. In all those situations Chief was the underdog. The story made it clear that he survived all he did because he was lucky, not because he was an invincible badass who didn't give a shit about anything. Chief in the original trilogy was TIRED. Everything happened with an air of gravity. When he survives the fall in 3 he isn't "being a badass." He's frozen in armor lock and is knocked out until Johnson finds him. If the same scene happened in...
@gamer1138
343 never really got what Halo was about. They think it's some crazy space opera where everyone is on the level of invincible superheroes when in reality the original games were just mellow war stories that were somewhat grounded in reality.
Seriously compare the opening cinematic of Halo 5 to the Halo 3 ads or just ODST in general.
You might miss some of the lore references from DS2 but so far it looks like much of the story will be self-contained. You will still catch things from DS1 which is probably the more important one anyways.
This is objectively false. Fighting games always have a meager story mode and one or two supplementary modes that don't really add anything substantial. This isn't any different than SF4, which has been the dominant fighting game for 8 years. Nor was it for MVC3, SSB4, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, etc...
The genre has always been like this, people are just now complaining because of shit like Evolve and Battlefront coming out. The difference being SF5 is actually bein...
It was broken for the first two days, as is the norm for online multiplayer games. It's been stable since.
If your main complaint for a fighting game is that there isn't enough singleplayer then you shouldn't be buying the game in the first place. It's like buying a tennis court and complaining that you can't face yourself. It's not like SF4 launched with SO MUCH MORE, and that game is still considered a masterpiece. People are getting so salty for no reason.
Somebody's really butthurt
Probably one of the better Gen 5 Pokemon they could've picked, though I would've preferred Krookodile. There's a lot of Fire types already but having another Ghost character besides Gengar might not be the worst idea.
That's not how Kickstarter works. They only get the money if the project is funded.
I don't see it happening. It's been three years and the gaming catalog is still extremely small. If we get the same amount in three years time then this generation would not have at all been worth the investment. A lot of buyers would be hesitant to go out and buy a new $400+ machine when we've gotten so little.
Making games has gotten expensive enough as it is; mid-level developers are disappearing, game mechanics are getting simpler and "safer." Any ju...
Rumor is the Odd Gentlemen agreed to the project without intending to actually work on it, taking the money and using it to fund King's Quest.
Finally I can rest easy
