frostbite 2 again will show us what modern game engines are capable of.
I guess the bow will be one of the coolest weapons in the game.
Ever since the turok games I liked bow and arrow so much and I'm happy that at least some developers include them in their modern games (eg the new tomb raider game)

Let's just wait until the game is released before thinking about buying or not buying it. Maybe it's the best game this gen, maybe the worst. let's lust wait before judging.
I am kind of disappointed with the progress of the development of the game. there are many brilliant mods with tons of content and many ideas could be integrated in the full game (aerial vehicles, mineral oil, "real" power, flying islands). even if some of the stuff is coming, it takes much too long.
mojang makes millions with the game and the only one developing the game is jeb? they even could sell this stuff as DLC. they just need to start working on it :/
I just hope that valve realizes what most gamers want and creates an open world zombie game just like this mod. imagine l4d3 with giant maps and real survival.
Until yesterday I hoped that sony/ms would announce/show off their new consoles.
But after I have seen UE4 I want them to rethink their system specs. And at E3 2013 both should announce their new consoles and release them a short time after. Now I don't want to have new consoles announced and have them released 18 months later :/
I just hope they make big zombie survival maps where matches can take even longer
yeah but it's a this gen title.
I stopped calling the ps3/360 next gen as as soon as they were released. for me next gen means the eighth generation, so to say the next xbox/ps :)
Let's just hope gearbox now makes a real next gen BIA sequel

but the other game, "Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture", also sounds promising. a dear esther sequel with a little more interaction. already day one for me
to me those rage "gamers" destroy modern gaming culture. look at mass effect 3, every new cod title, bf3 or now this. everybody has to polarize and normal ratings don't seem to be possible anymore. I hate what some haters do to our hobby!
people should use their time to play the games, not to rant on the internet.
I just hope both games run on next gen consoles because I think both would benefit from more powerful hardware.
volition is one of my favourite developers. they made some great games and often those games did not sell as well as they should have. I just hope they now make millions with saints row :)
I just hope that developers and publishers see the hype around this mod and start creating an open world survival horror game. except for stalker there's nothing comparable and that's quite a sad thing.

until a year ago I would have totally agreed to this statement.
but as said in the article valve has realized how important consoles are for selling a decent amount of copies of a new game.
so even valve will put more resources to the console ports of the next hl3 game and probably they will even release all versions at the same time.
so I still agree but we have to realize that the times are changing and even pc developers like epic, id and blizzard are dependent of ...
the campaign is good. just as the bf3 campaign was good. good for training for the multiplayer.
people need to stop thinking in superlatives.
nowadays something either is "brillant, superb, goty" or "worst, bulls**t, rubbish".
it really sucks that most people refuse to rate in a normal way.
