I agree totally. Consoles factually can't hope to ever compete with pc hardware because of price. M$ ruined itself with the XB3 being 500 dollars, PS3 almost destroyed itself with it's 600 dollar console. Consoles just aren't enthusiast environments. They are value markets.

That's nonsense. PC has the largest gaming library on the planet 20 fold over. There are so many games out in the past, out recently and out in the future that the PS4 will never have it's not even funny. PC won't likely ever get Bloodborne. PS4 will never get Star Citizen. PC will likely never see TLOU/Uncharted 4/Disgaea 5. PS4 will likely never see Starcraft 2/Path of Exile/Arma 3

I agree with everything but 5. I think the Pro is absolutely gorgeous. I'm going to love seeing it on my custom wall mount like the thing's so epic it literally has the power to shift gravity.

Considering it's a 3rd person shooter, the extra fov imo isn't worth the 21:9 monitor considering your pov is already an arc from behind the characters point of view. Much better than traditional 16:9 first person fov.
But having tried it in Arma 3 I do admit it DOES look better.. But ever since I went to a 50" 4k screen, I just... Haven't been able to go back. This is truly glorious.
Other than Higher specs there will never be an exclusive for the PS4P. The specs of the ps4 at 900p still nearly evenly match the specs of the Pro at 1080p 60fps. It fits too well to waste time making an exclusive. They already set their new entry level into the ps4 architecture, and it's the slim.
They'll never split a 40+ million market in favor of a refresh. That's just not reasonable.

The ps4 pro's gpu is basically a gtx 780 which was a 500 dollar gpu by itself just a few years ago. A complete machine like this at that cards launch date would likely be OVER 900 dollars BEFORE tax considering the kb/m and operating system needed. Now it's 400. That's sick value. SICK value.

There is literally no chance the ps5 is landing in 2018 before the next GPU series even lands. What are they going to call it? The PS8tflop?... Not a chance.
The Pro/Scorpio are going to extend this generation just like the ps3 gen was. Expect a 2019 at the absolute earliest and much more likely 2021-2022.
Just remember, the cheaper they become, the lower quality they'll be. Don't ask them to be TOO cheap or they'll price any realm of quality right out of the console industry on us forever.
400-500 is a great sweet spot as long as a generation doesn't like 9+ years like last gen did.
Likely to choose? Like from the point of view of a consumer that knows nothing about either game?... Isn't that subjective? Cocky boy vs dirty hot girl. Unless people look deeper, they are primarily on the surface the same experience.
Obviously with research very few would choose TR over U4 though, at least imo. And even more so once considering the dirty assed 3rd party gone timed exclusive deal. Greasy. Very greasy.
