Insomniac denied PlayStation offer on buying them out. So it will be hard to convince the studio unless they don't become successful outside of making first Party game. Fuse, Sunset Overdrive are the only two games that weren't successful but they didn't really spend much money on making those games since they had a publisher.

I think it would make sense to add PSNOW since PS3 and PSVITA line up are facing out early next year. PSNOW need to fill in the space since Plus would have less value.
Sony would never put all First party Exclusive in PSNOW day one since they would lose money which is why you didn't hear XBox announced state of decay 2 and Sea Of Thieves sales.
Well PlayStation did cancelled the unannounced Destiny like game from Santa Monica but it was in hell development with no direction of where the game is going to and million of dollars waisted.
Actually Japan Studio is making a game aimed for China market and is releasing worldwide. The game was about a god monkey, I think name Goku or something related like that. They even show a gameplay last year which look pretty good.

If they do make a 3DS successor, it will split the community and Switch sales might slow down since the 3DS successor is going to have exclusive games that is not going to appear on the Switch. Or it will be a flop since a Switch is already a handheld and people wouldn't bother buying a weaker portable.

Then if the people who are begging for cross play then Sony should just lock F2P games behind PS+ since no one is complaining about Xbone doing it and allow the cross play. Sony can gain more subscriber which more money and they wouldn't lose anything by giving want they want so it's a win win.
