Sweet! I'm down.
This article doesn't even talk about the memory leak which was never fixed. The game becomes nearly unplayable after extended sessions depending on your amount of RAM because Iron Galaxy designed code so shoddy they forget to clean up unused memory addresses.
It says theyll cost the same as traditional console games.
There's one thing I desperately need to be a feature with this level of customization: Item naming. Like in Skyrim. I want to find a weapon within the first hour or so of gameplay, name it something special, and upgrade and maintain it indefinitely so it's good enough to be used at or near the end game.
It's pretty cool. Give it a shot.
Of course, because, as we all know, AAA devs are infallible and always make decisions that will appeal to fans....Remember that this is the company that went from incredible Blood Money to the mediocre Absolution.
Honestly, that people aren't more appreciative of this effort is quite baffling to me. "How dare they listen to fans and take their time making an enjoyable and worthwhile experience!"
Except, you know, this could easily end up making the game significantly better than it couldve been. By releasing segments of the game, they have time to recieve feedback and improve the upcoming segments. I, for one, thing it's a great idea and think more games should take this approach. If you don't like then you can just wait until it's finished. After all, functionally this is pretty similar to early access games.
Pretty much. I could barely get past the nonsense of the second chapter.
I really wonder how effective something like this will be. If it all works out, it could really open the door to a lot more modding opportunities in games.
Looking forward to revisiting this!
It figures that the 3 games they chose just happen to be Ubisoft games. After all, the graphics and level design are the only thing they care about anymore.
It really makes me sad how frequently I see people talking and arguing about graphics, like that's all that matters in games. :/
Really? That's the problem with CoD? Not the formulaic and unchanging gameplay? If it just "let go" of last gen, it'd be perfect, is that what you're telling me?
Exclusives :/
I have yet to play a single game on PS4 that never stuttered or had any framedrop. TLOU, MGS GZ, BloodBorne. Even the home screen does. They might not happen too frequently, but they still happen.
This is why I do everything in my power to not have to resort to getting something on my PS4. At least on PC I can always drop my settings until it runs well.
The thumbnail is of a completely different game called "Flock!"...
Cant wait to see the changes.
I wouldn't have as much of a problem with this if WB had just delayed the PC version to fall in the first place. Instead they tried to pass off this garbage as a finished game, knowing how badly it ran.
I think I'm probably going to be playing as her primarily. Sounds more my style.
