TBH, you didn't make a compelling argument for me to even get into detail. I'm still playing the game and just beat the Dragon. However, this is the score I think it deserves.

Yes it's brilliant but 7.5. Which part of that escapes your logic? It's not a 9 or a 10 game. Imo. You bring up Mario, do you know the game reinvents itself every single time regardless of the goal? Hence it's always popular.
This is the score I have the game much to the disapproval of many. It's a really good game but it's not a leap beyond God of War, and games like the last of us have done the buddy system better in my opinion. I can't stand the dialogue of the son, and how he says "Boy" every time. The mechanics are standard GOW. It's a brilliant game but i honestly feel that 9 or 10 was a stretch. Games like Red Dead 2 And last of us will be worthy of that score I'm sure.

How else am I suppose to rate it if not by my experience of the game? I have played all the GoW games in the serious on console and this is telling another story and moving it along but the fundamentals remain exactly the same. When I say typical, I'm talking in the sense of the story, mechanics, tasks and overall journey. The only thing that's different is you have Artus to look after and aid you. GoW is a brilliant game but o don't feel that there is that much of a change to warrant a 9 or 10. I think people are just happy to see it on the ps4

TBH, this is a great game but it's definitely not worthy of the 9 and 10 score it received. It's a 7.5 at best for me. Its typical GOW which isn't a bad thing at all.

Very true. Every time we hear Nintendo most hate and now look at the switch. Frankly, for long as it's not friend codes then I'm good. Couldn't give two ish about the Nes games tbh, they can keep that.
