I wasn't aware that there is a lifecycle of games. I just play what I feel like, not what is fashionable. I still play PS1 games from time to time. If 1-2 years is a game lifecycle, than what's up with games from the 90's?🤔
I would give you the point if you are talking about MMO's. But this is a fighting game that will play the same 10 years from now if you pop it in as it plays today.
I usually play games to have fun. For me, it isn't fun to play with strangers online because most of these people are unstable. At least that is my personal experience from playing online from the early 2000's to early 2010's. So I stopped years ago and now only play with friends online. It's better that way.
Good thing that I don't play online with strangers, just friends. So for me, that is not a point. But I can understand if this is a good point for people who want to compete agaibst the world.

I got MKXL last year for $10. I will wait for MK11XL as well so I can get all rhe characters and the full game for $10-$20 yet again. There is zero reason to own fighting games on day1. You get much less content for full price. But impatient people will always pay for being impatient.

Can't really put my finger on one thing. Just all around unsimpathetic for some reason. I think it didn't help that the best armor I was able to wear for a long time looked like a clowns outfit.
This was the first Witcher game I played. The story wasn't that big of an issue for me as I liked some of the sidequest stories. It was more of what I said about it in my first post.
For me it's the Witcher 3. I tried, and tried and tried again but the world to me is bland, the combat is bad, the witcher himself is an unlikable character. The two things I liked is some of the sidequest stories and monster design.

Streaming services are food for big companies not individuals. Like good lemmings, these people follow whatever their overlords tell them. These aren't gamers. These people just game because now it's cool and fashionable.

Bungie has admitted I think last year that it is very hard for them to create new content. That wasn't Activision, that was Bungie. We will see but I don't have high hopes.

That would be the smart thing to do but EA doesn't give a sh*t. They go by what they rhink is good and they have been actively destroying their catalog of games in the past 5+ years. The only worthwhile release from EA in the last decade was Burnout Paradise Remaster. That sais a lot. Because there would be people changing it on the daily basis, especially teenagers. That might confuse the system as well and make it hard for newcommers to create an account.

Well the PS4 wasn't and everyone expected it to be so if it's not, don't be surprised.
I think it will be but only with PS4 games. Maybe digitally with PS1-PS3 games but we will see.
The only anti-consumer practice I can think of from Sony is rhat they don't give refunds for things sold on PSN.
