Well sadly, that's the internet for you but to make things clear, guys most of the time (90%+) are very nice to female gamers. I seriously doubt that this individual was an ass solely because the author is female. However guys curse each other out in a second. Especially 12 year olds who shouldn't even be playing online games such as CoD. My advice: ignore the assholes online. Nothing else you can do.

This time I'm really excited for Assassin's Creed. It's taking place in ancient Egypt which is something I love so this game will be pretty special for me. I hope it's done right and won't be dissapointing.

People who pirate games will never buy games. If they can't get it for free, they rather not get it at all. There are thousands of games they can play. That's IF he reviews it. He tends to pick many games to review that aren't that mainstream and he rarely does reviews but very good at making excuses and movie reviews now days.
As for microteansactions; good to know. Now I'll wait for a complete edition just like the first injustice and MK XL. I will never buy a game from neatherrealm on day 1 again since I know they will release a complete edition within a year or so. Just not worth it.
I know what you mean and I also felt somewhat similar but I did enjoy it a lot regardless. They could have done so much with it but it was what it was and it was pretty enjoyable especially with friends. But D2 hopefully will fix those issues. Hopefully the world won't feel as empty.
