That's such BS, man. Devs get paid during the development of a video game which could take 3-5 year or even more. Than they move onto the next project. Money made on MT and DLC does not go to them unless there is an agreement that a certain % will go to devs but I never heard about a case like that. Studios and pulishers pay these devs to do a job.
Yes, we want bigger and better games but that is true with everything. We want better cars, better fridges, better houses, ...
