But that is the thing. "Free DLC" is just an illusion. They made the calculations and were counting on the shit ton of MT's made in the online mode of the game to cover the costs and than some.....a LOT of some. That is why they made the online mode extremely grindy or you can pay $2300...up to you. So yeah, very, very shady.
People need to learn that NOTHING is free. If someone is giving you something for free, be very aware...

If this was done by EA, it would cost us $40 at least for the new mode alone.
First off, those were not patches. Second, they were done because of us not you! Remember, you strongly opposed those changes. You are pro microtransactions and pro EA. You would have been perfectly content with the game as it was originally released.
The only reason I'm not buying this is because there is no physical copy. If they release one, I'll buy day one. Maybe Limited Run Games could release it.
I agree that this is bad but BF4 when launched, you could not play online what so ever for a week or two and you could not play the campaign because your save file kept getting corrupted constantly and the game crashed all the time. It was absolutely 100% unplayable at launch. At least you can play BF2.......but that's not saying much.

Very true!!! I actually know someone who said the same thing this analyst is saying and we constantly get into arguments over this. What a stupid way to look at video games per hour of play / cost to consumer.

Cool! Just told my buddies who were on the fence about this game. I believe that every game should have at least a demo or a free trial like this. It will help people who are on the fence.
I miss the demo discs of the 90's. I loved getting a new demo disc and trying all the demos, plus they had other stuff like game trailers and tech demos too.
