I hope it was only held back to be launch title for ps5 and series x with a port to switch sometime after initial release.
So I am happy about this, but does this not just make it another reason not to buy the game? I mean the story of halo has been trash since four and even though the mp has been trash since four as well, but they are making the part most people buy this game for a free to play mode. This seems like a counter intuitive way to make money off your biggest game on series x for the next 3 years.. again I'm happy because as a consumer I'm a winner but just saying...
The only problem with it becoming the next Bethesda's is the games they will release going forward will most likely be Microsoft exclusive. I might get both consoles but I rather play on playstation, either way though they have always been a good studio and now with the proper budget can go to higher places.
Fable and state of decay three are the only things that came from this making me want to buy an xbox. Halo looks like a bland space shooter I didn't expect much from 343 and they still disappointed me. I will still be buying the series x but nothing great will be at launch.

It's weird to me that breath of the wild gets such high praise. It's a great game about a 7 when it comes to how bland the world map and the story is but still fun game that made the launch of the switch a hit. I really think people need to look back on the game it only add one new feature that is the climbing. Ever other part of this game is just the same generic open world gameplay you get in assassins creed and other games. I would have to guess people think it's the best game ...
Nah I'm fine playing it on switch was my last purchase of this game.
At least for what I'm saying is I dont need horizon from xbox I just want more triple a experiences and exclusive experiences to make we want to buy the xbox.

Well the uncharted collection you got wrong it actually fixed the problems every one had with the first uncharted. I was never able to finish the first because of its shit gameplay till the released the HD collection.
It's only because xbox does not push the boundaries of their triple a they play it super safe when it comes to their 1st party studios. I really want this gen to be about making new triple a games that make we want to buy an xbox series x. I always buy bot...
Sir halo stoped being any good after reach. 343 tried and failed they have ruined halo it's now just call of duty with aliens.
Gears of war has now had I think 7 games and it's the same exact game with the same gameplay. I would say gears is like madden just marginal improvements. Uncharted is over after 4 main games and one side game and each game upped the ante in story, gameplay and set pieces.
Now "forza" is a stale experience again...
Well not entirely copy them I just want xbox to step out of their comfort zone and make a new triple a franchise. The reason sony is my choice when playing games is that because they have better games to play then xbox (Imo). I really like ori and cup head, but both are now multiplat and were not bigger experiences. We just need more from the box cause for the last 2 gens of systems they have faltered in the games department.
This right here is what I've always thought. Xbox only has halo, gears, and forza as their killer apps and all three of those franchises are stale. Xbox needs something new and refreshing to bring people in to their system. They acquired some great talent so I think they will find some success!

If they want to keep pushing "gambling" I mean micro-transactions down consumers throats they need to keep the prices the same. Games could be worth 70 if we got the full game, but with dlc, season passes, and micro-transactions they make way much money alone on all the extras that they don't make a full game ever at launch. So to charge a game at 70 we need no more dlc, we need no micro transactions, we need to be handed a full game at launch.
So if you dont buy it before then you cant buy it even on digital that's insane.
