He and every PS3 critic act like they have a crystal ball and state future assumptions as facts.
Unfortunetly for Pachter, he doesn't have an immaculate history in fortune telling: "PS3 will not be able to make a comeback unless Sony releases a Blu Ray-less PS3"
Having a little crumb-cruncher messing around and playing virtual hopscotch will his new virtual BFF Milo just doesn't seem to be a convincing marketing image for core gamers.
This was a good movie, but I don't quite agree with the tremendous success it has gotten (you know, highest grossing box office of all time).
The plot was okay and it had some great set pieces and amazing CG, but I really think the CG is what really sold this movie to people, and not the intrinsic characteristics of the plot. I also hated the somewhat subversive Hippie-Rightous theme that the main character employed after about half way through the film. Gee how ironic this mo...
"Bluray will never be number 1. It will always be like Laser disc was in the past."
That's funny, because you could pretty much attribute todays situation between Blu-Ray and DVD against the past situation between DVD and Laserdisc. Laserdisc laid the foundation as the forerunner to the format of DVD and Blu-Ray has come away from DVD in that same respect.
Also, you fail to realize (I assume intentionally) Laserdisc was an obscure format because of the ...
What does everyone else think?
"See You at Tah Pahty Richta!!!"
Yeah that line didn't exactly come from Michael Ironside, but that came from possibly his greatest death scene in a movie.
I assume at least 60% of the people on here are not even old enough to know what a tax refund is. They just think money comes from daddy's pockets or mommy's hand, which just comes out from being in daddy's pocket.
What Natal is doing was done last gen. No gaming console has done 3D gaming yet...so yeah. 3D is next-gen.
Edit @ Alpha-Male22
This discussion does not include the Playstation Move, but since you have decided to throw that into the ring, I'll address it. Move may just be an advancement on the tech that the Wii popularized, but so many anti-PS3 fanboys loves to label Move as a Wii-ripoff, yet believe Natal is treading new territory and has been built on new ground...
"3D is a gimmick i'll say give or take 2 to 3yrs..." until Aaron Greenberg tells you it isn't a gimmick, then you'll jump on the 3D bandwagon with him.
I so wanted to settle the argument of who would be supreme and who would win that fight.
I don't mean to sound like a fanatic, but I highly consider Xbox 360 fanboys to be the most adamant, delusional fanboys of all time (at least since I've been alive, which has been since the NES generation)
Logic and pro-consumer reasoning seems to be a luxury for most of them. I have never seen such a brash breed of fanboys that would shout from the rooftops of how expensive the PS3 is, yet will glady accept and have no qualms for paying for overpriced peripherals, like $120 f...
Move has shown far more promise so far in being implemented into the bigger, more core gamer titles. Socom 4 has already been shown, and EA and Capcom has already voiced their great support for move. So as of now, there is no legitimate reason to entirely doubt Move's prospects and compatibility with big exclusives and third-party support.
"it's highly unlikely..." that you pay attention too often.

Good god, you are as thick...
“At the end of the day, we’re about shareholder bottom lines,” Oommen concludes. “We have to figure out how to monetize the other 98 percent.“
With how he describes on trying to gain revenue from the vast majority, I assume this to be about the PC online gaming sector primarily. All Xbox Live members already contribute to MS's bottom line, so I don't see how that is considered a problem...unless MS plans to shove premium subscriptions down the throats of all standard Live users...
***...it's not the type of control experience that we think lends itself to this type of game. We're comfortable with it; Microsoft is, too.***
That is going to be inscribed into Natal's tombstone come about this time next year.
@ Disagreer.
Come from out under the mattress and tell all of us how Natal not supporting the biggest Xbox 360 title of the year isn't a bad sign for the permanence of Natal? No Halo Support, little to no support by the har...
"Women care more about the bulge in your back pocket than they do about the bulge in your front pocket, if you know what I mean"
It sounds completely reasonable, though I don't care for women whose decisions are heavily influenced on such frivolous things. Women who are influenced by that are gold-diggers.
I wouldn't date any woman who has her face buried in a cell phone 16 hours a day anyway (which is about 80% of the hot, young female population these days.)
I don't tolerate women texting and tweeting every single micro-thought of theirs for a single second even when I'm on a date with t...
I actually saw that as a bumper sticker on the car of an Activision employee.
I have tried to play MW2 and Killzone 2 online after indulging in a good amount of Pirate Bay Mango and Peach shooters, and oh boy!!! I play like I literally was born yesterday!
If you are a part of a clan and you care about keeping up appearances online (as in always Pwning everyone and never EVER placing below the Top 3 at the end of a match.) avoid alcohol. Alcohol will turn you into a little beeeaaatch for everyone to teabag!!!
So those examples alone validate the yes answer.
BTW, I love the random disagrees that proponents like Natsu are getting. So what do the disagreers suggest? online-multiplayer should be the rule and single player, story-driven games should be the exception? Well that's what the Halo's and COD's can do to people.
World at War alternated between American and Russian soldiers during the SP campaign. This exemplifies the battles and historial stories of the war a lot better.
It's about god damn time a big Vietnam shooter was made. WWII and Modern Warfare shooters are saturating the FPS market.
