There are currently two Blu-ray discs used in the industry: a 25GB single layer disc (currently the most popular choice for PS3 games) and a 50GB dual layer disc (more often used for Blu-ray movies to allow less compression). The 50GB dual layer disc can obviously hold more data but the 25GB single layer discs are cheaper. I assume they used the 25GB discs to cut production costs and keep the game's size constraints closer to that of the Xbox 360's. I can't see how they've fil...
To add to my last comment, this is obviously still good news for 360 owners. I'm just trying to stop people setting their expectations too high. The N4G post clear points the finger at Blu-ray which doesn't at all appear to be the case.
Don't get too excited, he means a new format of DVD. Note that they're not sending testers any new hardware, just new discs. Considering that the Xbox 360 doesn't include a Blu-ray player, it's going to be a new type of DVD not previously used by the Xbox 360.
Top X360 exclusives PS3 fans hope aren't announced soon? Bloody hell, could that be any more of a fanboy statement? I hate the way children reap over this website. I get sick of hearing all of this loyalty crap. All I ever hear is "PS3 is better because of this" and "Xbox 360 is better because of that". Any self respecting gamer will own an Xbox 360 and PS3 and not give a crap about all of this console wars rubbish. It just irritates me when people assume that gamers c...
I can't believe this guy makes headlines, as if he's some sort of gaming guru. He makes educated guesses and get money for it. Oddly enough, no one ever checks up to see if he was ever right, or even close to what he predicted. Personally, I think he needs to give his predictions to people who need to know, not the gaming community. What goes does it do me knowing that something sold well or something else didn't? The vast majority of gamers don't purchase stocks and never wil...
Rumours like these surface every now and then and nothing comes of them. I'm taking this with a big heap of salt. Although, in a "what if" scenario, had Apple taken over Sony I think I'd have to boycott PlayStation and all things Sony. As much as I love my PlayStation and Sony products, I wouldn't continue to support them if Sony got taken over.
Honestly? Thanks for the big bloody spoiler right there. I'm currently playing through Resistance 2 and I've yet to complete it. I'm sure there are plenty who've yet to finish it too. A simple *Spoiler* tag is easy to use. Some common sense could go a long way around here.
I got it for PS3 regardless of having a capable PC. Call me mad but some games I prefer playing on my HDTV with a DualShock 3 and my legs up. Playing with a mouse and keyboard curled over my desk isn't as appealing. Battlefield 3 seems more like a game I'd be willing to get on PC over consoles as the differences there are substantial.
