A lot of people don't realize that while having irrational games on their resume will give them an advantage in finding a new job fairly quickly, there is still the feeling of uncertainty, that harsh transitional period, and the inability to confidently plan for the future. When you have a family, these are especially difficult to deal with.
So yes many will likely be gainfully employed again in due time, but don't underestimate the turmoil even a couple of months of...
What's "meaning fall" to others depends on how far they see into this situation. To some, it's just a video that got taken down. To others it's a commentary on the state of a community that we all represent in some form or another.
Microsoft and Sony may be competitors, but in the end we are all gamers. This is a shot to our collective guts as a community really, whether you are a fan of PS4 or Xbone.
The amount of stock some people seem to believe they have in which console outshines the other makes me wonder if there are console side-bets going on somewhere in a dark damp corner of the interweb's black market.
Sunset Overdrive looks like it will be good fun, but I won't hold my hopes too high on that one.
I don't think people are necessarily not focusing on the games themselves, but we're at a crossroads in terms of how we will be playing them a year from now, something we haven't had to worry too much about for quite some time. Plus many of us will end up only having one of these systems for at least a year or 2, so it's important to make sure we buy the one that is right for us as individuals. Sony just happens to have appealed to all the right demographics: gamers and people...
With or without the strict policies on Microsoft's hardware, Sony spotlighted more quality titles whether they are exclusives or not.
I hope you are wrong, but I do share your concern. I'm sure they are ok with not breaking through that wall, but it would be nice to feel like I want to buy a Suda game for once as opposed to just borrow it or wait for a price drop.
I'd say the same for omissions of Bioshock, Mass Effect titles and Fallout 3.
I'll agree with Bioshock Infinite and Far Cry 3, and Thr Last of Us will likely be one of the best this gen as well. I don't know if i'd call this year one of the best of the generation, but it's hard to say there was a bad year anywhere in there as well.
Thanks for not putting Persona 5 on that list, gives me hope that it will still come out.
That's a great quote from Vaas, but Jack would definitely win a war of words ;P. As for toe to toe well, Vaas would probably leave Jack bleeding on the floor but let's not forget there would be loader after loader and engineers to get through first. Not to mention The Warrior.
Butt Stallion is the clincher, moonbase puts him ahead too.
I rather enjoyed 2 myself, but 3 and 4 were definitely in another league. There really isn't a bad game in the Megaten series as a whole.
I've been hoping for a Persona 5 announcement for a couple of Tokyo Game Shows now. A current gen Persona game is quite overdue.
You and me both my friend.
Ya know i've always wanted to play Rule of Rose but never got around to it. Should pick it up sometime.
It would be for me as well if there was enough to convince me to buy the console from the get go :)
It would be a missed opportunity if Crytek hasn't put a serious amount of work into Crysis 3's MP. I'm sure we'll get something worthwhile even if the campaign has always been the main focus.
Yes indeed good sir or madam. I'm hoping people will start getting that before they go into the game.
I see what ya did there.
