I dont tend to compare games base only one thing, but as an OVERALL PACKAGE I would say God Of War 3 was the best hack n' slash this gen. When I saw the first trailer it said it was supose to have 2013 release date....looks like they rushed it out a bit...ill try and find the trailer to double check.
This doesn't surprise me.....it was a fantastic game and no doubt one of the best of 2011. What bother me is when games that are in no way deserving get a GOTY edition like BORDERLANDS for example....it was pretty fun but when they announced the GOTY edition for that I nearly bursted out laughing....

I agreed with EVERY SINGLE SCENTENCE......until I read the end and realized you were a complete and total fanboy. FORZA??????? Number on franchise in pro racing Sims? Lolololololololol. That game is the farthest thing from real as they come, granted its fun and in my opinion more fun than gt5, but it sells like crap in comparison and in realism. In terms of the look and feel of the car its gt5 all the way. For example I drive a Mazda rx8, and I have personally taken it to its top speed of 155...
I agree that some movies are better than MGS4, but seriously if MGS4 was a movie (although there would probably be six of them and they would be confusing as hell) it would be one of the better movies to hit cinemas. Yes most games are cheesy and the writing is bad and the story not so engrossing, but MGS4 is seriously movie quality.

Everything you listed (although true) is not what I'm talking about I'm talking about as a series. Meaning the cumulative sales of gt1, gt2, gt3, gt4, gt:prologue, and gt5 vs the cumulative sales of halo 123 odst, wars and reach (thats the same number of game entries into each series to keep it fair). That is where Im saying the gt series is crushing sales.

I would say GT is a big console pusher. As big as halo? I couldnt say all I know is there are people who literally buy a ps3 and play gt5 ONLY, with a racing wheel. People who buy xbox dont just play halo, there are other fps games out there.
I would like to be the first to point out that Gran turismo as a SERIES is currently CRUSHING halo by a good 20-30 million units for both series' cumulative sales overall. google it bro.
