This seems to be the general consensus from people being honest about the game. It's a good game and would have been better as it's own game than a dragon age sequel. Alot of games seem to suffer from this as time goes on and it just makes the games worse off for it. Dead space, Mass Effect are more examples of what i'm thinking. It's why games for me like Halo, Bioshock are still really good to me. Yes some of them have had their issues but I do feel like i'm playing a Ha...

That's fair to be honest. It seems to have plenty of really positive reviews put even those people point out it's a good RPG but it doesn't feel like a dragon age game. The entire point for me is I like the dragon age feel. That one part is a very small part of my hangup. I don't want to play a game that is dragon age in name without feeling like i'm playing a dragon age game. I have played since origins and I hate when games do that aka dead space 3 for me as an example. ...

I'm so torn on buying this game. I have two lines of thought with it.

As far as all of the gender fluid things in the game from what i've heard i'm not a huge fan of because it doesn't stick to established lore in the game. On top of that from what i've heard it doesn't feel like a dark story like prior games.

On the other hand I've heard the comment that the combat has improved which is nice, Graphics seem good, The story seem...

I feel most people who don't get it didn't play infinite. I actually enjoyed the gameplay and was a good direction for the game. It's biggest issue is how long it was in devolpment hell and it shows. The story was solid but wayyyyy to short. I'm sure this is because they scrapped and redid it over and over then put the game out way to early. In my opinion should have been fleshed out more but I get wanting to see how the new take would be recieved.

Pros of ...

It's such a weird concept to me because without one the other wouldn't be as good. Look at madden for example for what happens when no decent competition exists. I was almost always xbox mainly because most my friends played on it and I liked the controller. Now I play PC because that's where most of my friends play. To me gaming should be about fun not who can rage online about who's brand is better.

Look at all the downvotes for simply saying you don't...

Season 2 was a much better season than the first. I would of kept watching it but the fact they had chief go onto the ring and the main bad guy was the human girl it really started to lose me. Guilty spark seemed like a better bad guy than anything the show had shown yet and could have helped save it but the show couldn't get out of it's own way alot of the time.

I like this site because it was the first one I found that I liked years and years ago to try and stay up to date. Now it's so anti-xbox over anything else it's almost sad. Literally any pro xbox comment 9 times out of 10 will be downvoted doesn't matter if it's anything true or not.

Gaming as a whole has seen a lot of layoffs this isn't something exclusive to xbox.

This site sometimes literally makes me laugh. People care more about bashing games than they do anything else. Older I get the more and more I realize how dumb reviews are unless it's a game like cyberpunk that was literally broken or no mans sky that was nothing like what was promised.
If you like open world games with freedom to pretty much do what ya want and like just getting lost in a game you'll like it maybe even think it's a refreshing game to play (was for me). ...

I feel for many including myself that rate the game as a 9 or a 10 because of all the game elements combined make it that fun for us. Between designing our own ships, our own settlements, NG+ variants, exploration yes it exists even though many claim it doesn't, gunplay is good (much better than fallout 4). I love being able to store whatever I want on my ships, I love being able to take everything I can see mostly. If you only focus on the main story and that's it I could see people ...

Because the game can be a 10 to someone (like myself) even with some flaws. People who are putting a 1 are either trying to bomb the score or have never played it which some of those reviews literally say they haven't played it.

Leave it to N4G community to only focus on all the negative reviews only. I'm enjoying the game so far. Only have few hours into it so far but liking what I see. Gunplay is wayyyy better than fallout series. Ship combat isn't super easy (at least not in beginner ship, ship customization seems fairly in depth. Can't wait to get off work and keep playing.

I have a feeling this game is going to be largely what you make it which has me excited. I'm happy to see less bugs from the sounds of it compared to normal Bethesda launches. Hopefully means modders get to spend their time doing cool mods sooner.

I swear common sense doesn't exist these days. Considering the amount of things you can do in the game if you want to do literally everything I could see it taking that long. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy the game. Some obvious examples

1. Base building (collecting materials, build/designing/decorating base). Don't want to sink dozens of hours into this (I will as I love that stuff) they already announced each ciry will have a place to buy instead (I imagine ...

This is a good way to look at it. I myself enjoy RPG games more so NMS most of the time I find myself playing for a week or two then get to a point where I'm like what's the point of anything I'm doing. It's a great game that has improved so much over the years but it's not comparable to starfirld. Nice to see some people can separate them.

971d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I literally played in this week. NMS has nothing city wise that will compare with something like New Atlantis or other cities in starfield. NMS has a questline but they aren't compelling or on par with a RPG. I love all the updates (My favorite has been being able to customize the inside of my giant ship. Not saying NMS is had but it's not a RPG it's a exploration game.

971d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I have played a fair amount of NMS myself and I'm not saying it's a bad game just that is a lot of differences that make the games not comparable.

Cities, actual quest lines, better graphics, more strategic ship to ship combat, docking enemy ships, mod support (another reason zones might be a benefit down the road), new game plus, base building (NMS has it but is not super well done imo), ship customization. Would no barriers be cool of course but I'll take all...

People using NMS to compare have either 1. Never played NMS
2. Haven't payed attention to Starfield info
3. Want to hate on starfield no matter what

Starfield yes so much more going on than NMS. Short list off the top of my head

This game (So far) Seems everything I wish no mans sky was. No man's sky is a good game but I get board since the game has no real direction imo. Actual combat looks good to me, being able to dock other ships and take it over to sell or keep, top down building option for settlements, skills that affect gameplay, companions, storyline, full mod support from the start even on console. I think I will put many many hours into multiple aspects of this game.

I've said this before but I'll say it again. The battle pass system will help them keep a steady stream of income which should help. I also put a lot of hours into diablo 3 and very much enjoyed it. I'm sure people will cry about them having cosmetic things to buy or season pass prices. As long as it helps them continue support for the game and keep making content I'll be happy.

As long as the battle passes aren't something stupid price wise and there is...

Are we really using a mobile game and a remake as grounds to worry? I think it's pretty clear they want to find a better way to keep a better revenue stream to support the game. The season pass in my opinion is a very good option even though some will complain cause they want people to work on a game for years and provide content for no extra cost.

I don't generally get concerned with leads leaving when the game is near being finished as that isn't a uncommon t...
