I don't get it. What is a Zelda killer? We can't even compare story or character development wise anyway. For example, I already know the first 15 minutes of Horizon Zero Dawn will have more story, background and character development than the entire new Zelda game will have. Apart from that the visuals and gameplay are going to to be amazing for what is expected of each dev team.
Zelda just has the history and nostalgia factor going for it. Also another thing to take into a...
Yeah it is a joke, I don't even get it? Am I going to be getting lost in a cave in Horizon Zero Dawn for an hour or 2 because I won't be touching it if that is the case.
But will it boot up with an incredibly short time from the PS4 menu to the main menu in the game? This was something they did with Killzone Shadow Fall, they talked to the likes of Havok and others and said they aren't putting all those logos at the start of the game. 5 seconds from when you fire up the game to the main menu. FIVE SECONDS.
Since nobody praised GG for that, I bet they aren't going to bother with that this time or going forward. :(
Can't wait for all the games on Scorpio that aren't sports/racer games that will do 1080p 60fps flawlessly AND look anywhere close to what Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, Spiderman and The Last of Us Part II will look like.
Hell even if it can do a flawless 1080p 60fps game that comes CLOSE to the 3 years old Infamous Second Son, that will be an achievement moment for Xbox moment lol.
Well The Witcher 3 took 6 months to be "fine" on PS4, what with Microsoft's money throwing and all that.
And what will your reaction be if it is? "So??? At least I have a 900p 27fps meh looking Recore on Xbone to combat your crappy Horizon." That you will, that you will lol.
I would be all for a unlocked frame rate option though. If the game happens to never once drop below 30fps, just like Killzone Shadow Fall, let me play it at a slightly higher fps if possible. :)
Yet it wouldn't really be when there is always going to be a demographic that need to still be able to run the game when it comes to PC.
For instance, Naughty Dog and their game engine on PS4 exclusives, they get to make their games catered exclusively to the GDDR5 architecture from the moment of conception all the way to release. On PC they are already losing this advantage as the game would more than likely have to support graphics cards and processors from 8 years ago too lik...
No wonder Xboners are begging that, the promising looking, Crash N Sane Trilogy is not a PS4 exclusive. :)
I agree. People should actually go back to that CG video from a First Person camera and actually look at the awful fire/smoke/particle effects in it. Also look at the tiny are the actual thing takes place in the realtime engine also easily surpassed.
No game is ever going to flow like a directed CG orchestrated movie and THAT is the mistake a lot of people make when they say that ONLY Killzone 2 never looked like that (no game has ever flowed like that unless you count Mad ...
It easily looks better. So much more INSANE lighting effects/particle/smoke effects going on. Its funny how its the delusional people that think because the 2007 footage is blander/basic looking, then it must instantly be better lol.
@Vhampir Err no. Killzone 2's E3 2007 footage was 100% in engine, you literally can move the camera during that opening part of that level in the game. How is that prerendered???
@Septic How is it a misrepresentation? Are you even looking at the video that is linked to the article? The visuals were clearly improved from E3 2007 to a year and a half year at its launch in Feb 2009.
Its funny how you are all talking about how its "late" to be t...
But the damage that RE6 did really can't be ignored and that is a major factor on if this game will do well. Then again, I know people who say they won't be getting it because it looks "too scary" to them lol.
Still amazed by this. There are incredible games out there that some people won't play and then there are turds like this where people still actually go out and buy it..... and at launch too!!!!! Some people just can't resist the FPS pew pew genre and that's it.
If they couldn't do anything with the same GDDR5 console that gave us Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank (2016) and upcoming games like Horizon Zero Dawn, they won't be able to do anything with even LESS of the dev team and a GDDR5 PS4 Pro.
You either have skill or talent or you don't. Then again, are they shifting developemnt of the Pro patch to another game engine OTHER than Cryengine because that unoptimised mess still won't help anything either.
And...
Of course he will survive. If a scumbag with 2 million subscribers that tries to scam his ENTIRE fanbase with fake advertising videos for his own gambling websites (including underage children) can survive, then pewdiedie will be just fine.
Hell that gambling site scumbag still has over 50% of his subsrubbers licking his feet in defense.
@KwietStorm I think the same guy got his hands on Uncharted 4 and said the same thing about that. And we all know how much of a disaster that game was with 0 Overall GOTY awards. Its now at the bottom of the barrel along with Quantum Break isn't it?
Sort of like how people went on about The Order 1886 being a disaster for about 6 months after it came out, even though we all seen it coming a mile away with the awkward gameplay reveal in Jan 2014.
Then when another game came out that year out of nowhere and, ACTUALLY, shocked everybody how good it was after a lot of pre-hate, Until Dawn, nobody ever said a damn word about it.
Its just the way it is.
Because they even "love" the mediocre 343i FPS Halo games too.
No shit. The Wii U should have actually launched with Skyrim that was only out a year before that. Actually the DLC were just about to land on PS3 and PC so it would have been perfectly timed. But I guess Nintendo just weren't interested in reaching out.
