@thechosenone Don't worry about the other consoles. The Wii U doesn't do this and Sony confirmed after the Playstation Event that used games won't be blocked (to an unknown extent) and that you most certainly will be able to use the console offline.

Clearly it isn't. Did Microsoft put that purple banner of death on their Halo 4 or Gears of War Judgment box arts but still make other big developers like Bioware put it on their game? Nope and yep.
If that thing about installing the games completely is true, then they CAN'T have a console that can go offline. It would be hacked and people would just not have to ever put it near an internet connection to be able to keep it the way they want it. They will even find out ways to get the games on the hard drive then without even requiring a disc because Microsoft made it so easy with the full installs just like with the current 360.
