Alot of people said that when they saw it in February too. All I said was, wow you are really giving amazing praise to the PS3. The same praise that the idiots keep giving to Ready At Dawn for the "CGI Trailer" they showed at E3, a trailer that looks so incredible, they can't believe that it is actually ingame graphics :)

They would need to have shown ANY footage on Xbox One in order for the general public to even get their hands on it.

Its hard to say as Microsoft only finally started officially talking about the power of their hardware in August, 6 months after Sony stated PS4 was using GDDR5.
Anybody who had the Xbox One preordered before the 180 (was it around 20th June maybe), doesn't deserve any thanks for Microsoft fixing the problems (I'm not referring to you or anything but those people know who they are)
@Abriael Which makes even less sense. I have a feeling that the 360 was a pretty popular console this gen. Not for me but to lots of other people. And still with a year headstart in the US and a year and 5 months headstart in Europe, PS3 overtook 360 sales worldwide. PS3 will continue to sell millions for the next 5 years unlike 360.
Now Xbone a highly unpopular console is launching alongside Playstation this time. How would it ever catch up?
And what are they going to do if some places did sell early??? Cut supply of what little titles they have coming out for the rest of 2013??? These retailers all know this and did it because they know Nintendo can't do anything about it. They aren't exactly in a position of power right now.
With every passing month since 2006 this game lost more hype. Dark Souls 2 is a more hyped up game then this train wreck. A lot of people wouldn't even care if they cancelled this game tomorrow.

The only game that was completely made alone by Epic Games this gen on PS3 was Unreal Tournament 3 and... what a surprise, it supported mods. This explains alone how their talents and potential were mostly wasted this gen.
They want to make sure enough people buy the Play and Charge Kit that everybody will need (even if you don't think they do here, 97% of people buying an Xbone are gonna buy one for each controller)

Finally they get to put their Games for Windows Live GOLD SUBSCRIPTION into effect again after failing to dupe PC people in 2007 into it with Shadowrun and Halo 2 before giving up on it.

Because building an engine from the ground up to take advantage of the category your game falls into makes more sense. It is a reason why a game like Thief, a game coming to next gen consoles also, still looks like so many games before it because it is on Unreal 3.

Yeah the €40 for 8 characters definitely suggests Microsoft was behind it alright. Obviously their "quality level" at work as you put it. Animations are still god awful and stiff in the game though.
