Resident Evil died for me with RE4. I enjoyed RE4 and all, but it ceased being true Resident Evil. The removal of all the survival horror gameplay elements didn't sit well with me. Still, I was able to enjoy RE5 too, after I warmed up to the new style the series had taken. The outstanding Mercenary modes in both games didn't hurt, either.
I think I've had enough after that though. Just the phrase "Resident Evil 6" is kind of... eh...
Just because a few publications opted to recognize it as handheld GOTY means nothing. Peace Walker is the superior game in every conceivable way, and most people appreciate this fact.

I hear what you're saying, but we got 10 fresh, very balanced characters in SSF4, two of which were brand new. In AE they've added Yun and Yang too, making this one very diverse Street Fighter roster.
I think these badass versions of Ryu and Akuma are ok, I personally welcome them. If you watch some videos of Oni, you'll see he actually plays quite uniquely. Evil Ryu is more of a clone of (normal) Akuma though.
Last Story got solid numbers.
