Sounds interesting, I love all the character options. Might give it a whirl sometime.
They're now saying it should be fixed by tomorrow. You can check updates on the xbox live service status page. http://support.xbox.com/en-...
I like the idea of a game that can genuinely instil hope into people. I think most games are just a fun distraction from life as opposed to particularly uplifting, so will be interesting to see.
I think bringing back old classics is okay, because they genuinely might be hard to find or use in their original form, but re-releasing a year old game is just ridiculous.
If you buy a game and it turns out you don't really like it then sure, shelf or sell it, but if you enjoy it, why wouldn't you want to finish it?
When I was a kid I wouldn't finish most games because they'd get too difficult for me, but a lot of them I returned to in later years and to complete. Nothing beats seeing the ending for yourself!
Long queues are lame, good to hear they're working on it though.
My personal favourite is the chef from Breath of Fire II who tries to BBQ you.
Superhero games are a tough one. Batman works because he doesn't actually have powers and is somewhat contained; sure he has gadgets but he can't really fly or tear down buildings or run across the map in less than a second.
I think a successful story driven game would need to be massive in scope to be fitting for most superheroes. It would be a big gamble.
When I first saw this announced I was excited for the split second it took for me to realise it would be full of micro-transactions. The always online requirement is just a kick in the teeth.
Yeah, I've read some of the pieces on GameInformer. The whole premise of the game is really interesting and I'm definitely intrigued, but the similarities to AC just threw me a little.
Time will tell, of course.
We shouldn't be relying on video games to give kids exercise, anyway...
I'm in two minds about this game. On the one hand, it looks really promising and could surpass AC in quite a few ways. On the other hand, it just feels too similar to AC. It's a bit weird for me...
I've had this before. After playing Tetris for a few hours straight I kept seeing the blocks when I closed my eyes.
Also, for about two weeks after finishing SR3 every time I saw a Smart car I had an urge to attack it with a rocket launcher, but that's a little different...
C'mooooon BG&E2! I need you in my life.
"... continues to defend the decision to oppose The Banner Saga which he claims is “confusingly and deceptively similar” to Candy Crush Saga."
HA. Yeah, okay.
I don't really reflect on newish games to the extent that they become ruined. I just enjoy the experience and move on to the next one.
It happens a lot with games I loved as a kid, though. All the little problems become really obvious when you play them again. Fond memories destroyed.
That is sad. As much as I love creating my own character, I wouldn't turn down a game because of it.
I do get that there are a tonne of copy cat Candy games out there, which is probably annoying for King, but even half-seriously going after The Banner Saga is crazy.
I think the game looks pretty impressive so far, Creative Assembly are doing a good job. Not sure if it will 'save' the franchise, but it could get it back in people's good books.
Pretty much everyone I know owns Minecraft so yeah, I can believe it. Even my little brother and sister have it on their tablets. Fun for all the family~
