THIS^^^ Sony brought games out on the PS3 they could have moved them also to the PS4. They didn't.

The PS4 pro has also a HDMI 2,0 and to implement freesync that is software and the PS4 can get freesync in an update of the hardware.

Yes Ken did wrong by the PS3. He went to far. The blu ray player was to expensieve, the Cell was to expensieve, the hardware was to expensieve.. It was his fault that the PS3 was badly priced. That almost killed the PS3. Luckely Sony kept pushing excl. after excl. That and the name Playstation saved the PS3 in the long run.
