I don't see Halo 3 being remade. It was HD already. Well, ok, it was something like 640P, but it DID look pretty damn good. I guess playing it in true 1080P would be nice and all, but not as much of a graphical leap as a remade Halo 2 would be or Halo CE was...

Respawn CLEARLY denied the texture thing and very clearly said that they will be higher in the final build. If they did in fact lie, their reputation would be destroyed on day one of the game's launch. No developer wants that or can afford that. If they simply didn't respond, that's one thing, but they responded and killed the "rumor".
It's probably going to be 720P...however, I'd be happy with 900/60. Ryse is 900P and it is widely believed to be one of the best looking next-gen games.
Battlefield is COD with vehicles. Killzone is COD in future. Gran Turismo is COD soldiers driving cars instead of tanks. Resogun is a sidescrolling COD with a spaceship instead of a helicopter.

GTAV doesn't really need a texture pack. It DOES, however, desperately need some anti-aliasing and a locked 30fps. I like the game on my 360, but it's very quick to go from a gorgeous setting to a jaggy slow eyesore in traffic.
