Yea I'm doing the MAG beta, greatest thing about it? I have yet to run into a single exploit. Hopefully they will fix the disconnect bugs before launch. But it's nice to play a game by a company that decides to test before launch.
You can open up the database > Locations then select which city, It will show you which building still have glyphs, then when you walk up to them the database entry will pop up again. Also the only one that I found which had the glyph attached to a different building was the port. It had the glyph on the lighthouse nearby.
As far as I can recall this came with the launch game Motorstorm, I don't know how anyone thinks this is news. Also was used in countless games since, including soul calibur 4 on top of the others mentioned. If anyone is touting this as a new feature of 3.0 it is sheerly based on ignorance.

I don't understand the push for addons. Last I heard addons only purpose was to hijack your homepage, slow down website calls, introduce new exploits and bugs, and clutter your address bar. What changed?

You can't seriously believe that. Every game that is released gets cracked in a few days. DRM in no way helps to solve the problem. The reason this got pirated so badly was because it really wasn't worth the money. People then told their friends this but they still wanted to try it out, so bam, a pirate is born.
Wouldn't jump to conclusions about scientologists, they have a long standing history of actually coming to get people, and usually succeeding.
