Its not too early, 3-d has been around for a long time. It just hasn't been exploited very well I beleive now is the right time with the shift of hdtv. see that patern? that's how 360 get its software sale up. It dries out its user for a long time ,so when a game come up doesn't matter if it suck they'll buy it because they have no else to play. And they'll defend it to death just to justify their purchase.
I do really think until producers and director stop slapping their name everywhere in any game to movie adaptation , a movie adaptation of a game will never work. There is still little hope( my last hope of good game to movie to success) that the uncharted movie will break that barrier, I mean how can you screw it up it played and felt like a blockbuster movie.
