A civil war might indeed be cooking in helghan. After all, Visari blew up one of his own city. I'm sure this info would leak to some people and might try to start a revolution. I really love the KZ universe, there are so many thing that can be built around it.
I may be wrong but,there's a possibility he may change into an Helghast. Here's why; if I read it correctly from the KZ universe, 1-If you stay on Helghast for too long the mask becomes mandatory if you* want to survive longer(* that is if you weren't born on helghan) 2- ISA only planned the invasion for a month at max any longer and the weather + climate of Helghan would greatly affect ISA soldiers physically and mentally(morally),hence why they didn't need the mask in killzo...
I'm probably wrong but, If I remember from the Killzone universe. If you stay on helghan for too long, you'll need those masks to survive. They planned the invasion to last a month at max, but with all the sh*tstorm that happened, they now need more time to get out.
