so are you saying, that all the people, that bought Halo games (10 million+) are also automatically Halo fans? because not everyone of those people would give the game an unrealistic score of 10/10...

this has nothing to do with dedicated servers since fighting games are always P2P...
with the aliens as enemies i think it is more because of the rating, devs can sell the game to a wider and younger audience when they change the blood from red to green etc. :)

i agree with you, because i know you must have a good ping for such fast paced game (for such fast fighting games i would say Ping under 100 would be appropriate, which means, that your opponent should be from the same country as you), but i still want to have the choice/option to play online, even if i would know about the lag problems...
no online multiplayer in a fighting game these days is just crazy, when i saw the last video interview (i think it was on IGN), where the two devs were playing it live and the editor asked them about the online, they reacted like they wouldn't care and talked rather about stupid download content to hide their shame... I really like the game from the videos, but i have no respect for the devs, when they pull this one through without the online multiplayer.

hmmm i don't understand why the devs are dissing the trophies in multiplatform titles, because they could just copy the xbox360 achievements, only extra work they would have would be to make 2d icons for the visuals of the trophies, so the term lazy suits them well...
couldn't have said it better, + they share the same lame programmers, that have problems with the optimizations.
i think it gives the people a sort of status, when they can boast, that they own that particular (rare) item. Like when in the 90s someone would say, he's got the PowerGlove (which you can add to your list btw :) ) you would be probably jealous, but if you would try it yourself, you would know it is just a crappy gimmick.
and he would implement a new skill in the turnbase RPG - Hide :)
