Completely disagree. VR doesn't have to mean the end of conventional gaming, and comparing what's already being done by oculus and valve to the virtual boy is massively unfair. Gaming has to go somewhere markedly different eventually, and I think VR will probably be a big part of the future.
I don't think that could ever happen again - too much variety even in the tools to make a game, and with a successful and growing worldwide indie scene, and the rise of digital ownership, you'll never end up with the same level of stagnation.
Never actually chose to blow up Megaton, but I did help out the weird Cannibal club in New Vegas
Agreed, thought Keeley Hawes did a great job in her Tomb Raider games.
I loved Burnout, but I'm not sure it really has much of a place anymore; seem like things like The Crew and Project Cars mean people want more realistic racing games.
I know it's not out yet, but Mad Max probably deserves an honourable mention at least, should be a post-apocalyptic staple if it lives up to expectation.
Reminds me of the times you save the game in RPGs just so you can go on a killing rampage and respawn as if it all never happened.
Completely agree with Age of Empires, especially with the HD remaster a couple of years ago.
I feel like we're never going to get the open world Pokemon game. I agree it would be awesome, but I think Nintendo think they know what makes them money and are wary about straying from it.
Always preferred New Vegas to Fallout 3. Felt like even though it didn't go for the standard formula of having a character straight out of a vault, it expanded the series much more than 3. Also, it made you explore - I got through 3 only having to do 1 or 2 side quests, whereas New Vegas makes you go out into the rest of the wasteland.
Easily Pip-Boy
The amount of practice involved is important too - it's not like professional gamers are just playing game after game all day. They're developing strategy, checking pathing, developing ideas, focusing on the little things just like conventional athletes do.
Kinda fed up of FNAF. Fair play to them, done quite well off a decent idea, but they've really saturated their own market with so many games in such a short amount of time.
