I refuse to buy Forza 5. I went back to play some forza 4 today and I am perfectly happy as it still looks just as good IMO. Has more cars, more tracks, Auction Houses, Free run with any cars.. just more of everthing. There is no need to jump onto a so called 'newer' game which has gone backwards in every way for the sole purpose of raping my wallet. Whats next? Will forza6 have only 100 cars and five tracks? If this is the future for Turn 10 I will not be supporting them any longer. ...
I didn't expect much for a port to be honest from square nowadays but the updated sprites look pretty good. Characters arent just 'smoothed' out as says the article. Looks like redrawn to me but kept close to original style which is great.
I watched the whole hour and the engines still sounded like vacuum cleaners.
Every other car game can do better sound these days while PD have their heads stuck in the sand with the ancient sound design.
Tried my luck today of picking one without preorder.. no luck. Tried like 10 small stores as well as the usual places. :(
Luckily my preorder for 2nd batch before xmas will be arriving in 2-3 weeks... but thats 2-3 friggin weeks! :(
So tempted for a xbone those are still on the shelves IN every store I been in and it was released a week earlier... lol.

Isn't there still like another year til release? 33 million is pretty impressive. Who wants to bet it be around 70-80 million by release? They havent even sold the big items like destroyers and battlecruisers yet...

I have to wait on the "2nd batch" since I ordered late. But at least JB-hifi promised a console for me "before xmas". Let's hope its not a marketing gimmick with fine print I didn't read at the time... otherwise it could be the early 2014 wait. :(

Is there any real reason to upgrade to this from forza4? From every review I'm reading its pretty much half the game except with slightly better graphics.

X3 series were complexed yes, but once you get past that its a game that you will lose 1000's of hours in doing crazy stuff. Epic is the word that can describe those games. The bugs are not the problem. Sure they will fix those as shown in the past. But the fact is that they failed the game at the core design level cannot be fixed.
It will take many expansions or a rewrite of the game to make it even close to what an x game should be.
It will be years before it will be even comparable to the last game.. and even then it's doubtful they will even bother given the casual gamer direction they have chosen.
X Rebirth is not an X game. It is stripped of everything which made the previous games great. Its mind boggling that we waiting 7 years for this piece of crap.
Reasons: Universe is smaller at only 4 sectors. No automation through trade and fleet command. One ship to personaly fly. Less ships overall in game. Lack of fan favorite alien races. This game is like the Duke Nukem Forever of the far east.
Bad spawning system, bad graphics, lag, cap gun sounds, maps uninspired and boring, un-authentic weapons (fake, sci-fi stuff), mute system non existent and forced to listen to 10 yr olds singing ladygaga, random disconnects, the clusterfuck of perks...overpowered killstreaks.. maniac especially.. what were they fucking thinking?
Against my better judgement I did buy this game but then I sold it the next day because it was terrible.
It's hard to believe anything MS related nowadays. This whole fiasco was probably a invented by them to make them in the end look like 'good guys'. This moonlightsomthingdude was probably an MS employee in the first place.
