Yeap, PS3 will have the same or more lifetime than PS2. Even Sony said PS3 will be at the market at least 10 years.
Means PS3 will be the only console of this generation in the next generation available from the companies and support.
Halo, Halo Custom Edition and Halo 2, the 3 games for PC still have a lot of activity.

PS4 will be released at least 6 or 8 years more. Sony need to stop supporting PS2 1st.
Those controllers are not like the Wii, don't have a wire to connect them together as the Wii controllers.
