Things are getting insane.
Rayman Origins
Need for Speed: The Run
Assassins Creed: Revelations
Modern Warfare 3
Battle Field 3
Sonic Gensis
Saints Row 3
Skyrim
Uncharted 3
Every single game on this list is a MUST HAVE for me. But seriously, just finishing saints row 3 will take roughly a month for me. This is crazy, and smaller games will be left severely behind.
Well idk. There's been lot's of good reviews. The only sour grape has been joystiq. Worst case scenario I'll simply rent it from gamefly.
Obviously you know nothing about the weight metacritic has on the industry.
Homefront, because of the scores and the average, THQ stock dropped a dramtic 18%. JUST BECAUSE OF THE AVERAGE on metacritic. Secondly how well it's recieved can lead to more potential sales, then a game in the lower 80's. Thirdly goty winners RARELY come from games lower than 90 on metacritic.
So yeah, metacritic means alot for this industry (not that I like that, but it is...
And then I read gamespot review, and I was like "whew"
Ouch. Meta score will dip for sure.
Good news, very good news indeed...:D
I agree SOOOO much. When foxnews goes on there b.s rampage about how immature video games are, and how they are abomination, I really want to scream and show them L.A Noire as an example.
No, L.A Noire isn't the "perfect" game. But with that said, it's facial animations, and acting transcend what we normally see in video games, and bring us to a more theatrical level, where we have actors actually ACTING in a video game state.
That's a bi...
Umm...who said it was?
Hell why not mention Skyrim, Dark Souls, and every other rpg coming out this year.... >.>
Let's not forget about the Kane & Lynch 2 review either!
It got a 9/10 in OXM UK and was being harold as a goty contender...a week later it's ends up with a low 60 on metacritic.
It's just 1 review. Call me when there's 100+ on metacritic.
I feel trolled :(
Agreed ^
@ Sin151 why did you list Crimson Alliance, or the Witcher 2, or the Alan Wake expansions as exclusives? The Witcher 2 is most likely for all platforms, NOT just for the 360. Secondly both Crimson Alliance, and the Alan Wake expansions are xbla titles. (if you don't believe me, then just watch and prepared to be dissapointed.)
That leaves just
Kingdoms
Halo HD (a remake, nice)
Gears 3
& Forza 4
Def. can't forget Gears 3.
Personally, I already have quite a few goty contenders on my list.
LittleBigPlanet 2
Dead Space 2
Crysis 2
Portal 2
Witcher 2
L.A Noire..
This time last year I only had,
Mass Effect 2
Heavy Rain
Alan Wake
Red Dead Redemption
as my short list. So I think this say's miles about the year we're having...
Wow. Because of gamers like you developers dare not to take risks.
Did you even bother to read any preview? Seriously it's your fault if your dissapointed. You should've done research before purchasing...
Wow I seriously don't get some of the hate on the box art? Personally I love it. It's very simple, and has a nice artistic vibe to it. Looks way better than a cliched box art with dudebro character killing aliens. If I was in a gamestore that box art would catch my interest...but hey, that's just me.
Well as the media is concerned it currently has a 92 on metacritic making it the 2nd highest rated game in 2011. So it's obvious the media adores L.A Noire.
As for where younger gamers might stand, I truly have no clue. I am also concerned that in an industry that is over saturated with mindless fps that a game like L.A Noire will seem...strange.
If anything L.A Noire shows that the gaming industry has much to go. It proves that there are countless wall...
Err, no offence look around.
There's plenty of 10's, and 9's. Just a few 8's here and there. 92 metacritic, nuff said.
Awesome, simply awesome :)
dude...your an idiot, and a Neanderthal :/
Well I kinda would. I LOVED saints row 2. I'm going to have to weave my way through this one. I'll probably play the game that'll take me quickest to finish, and reserve something like Assassins Creed, or Skyrim for last.
btw; batman is in october.
