I prefer to use my gamer's instincts instead. Only by looking at a few screenshots and videos I can already tell if a game is good or not for my own taste.

Yes they are my dear friend, because once the game is loaded you are already ingame. You cannot be outside the game if you loaded the game.
Once you loaded the game it's too late. You are ingame. And there's nothing you can do to get out. Even if you turn off the console, it will stay inside your head, provoking you, and you won't be able to help it, you'll turn the console again and again until your soul is completely drained by it.
