LOL sorry dude but your grape argument is no better..
who knew superman fanboy tears tasted so good..
Not bad. Might be going to Futureshop for the first time in years
Or you can look at it like this:
Compared to last gen the PS3 did horrible. It took 6 years to outdo the competition despite previously outselling them 6-1. For a successor product to lose nearly 50% of its market share is disastrous, indicative of Sony's current financial situation.
On the other hand the X360 equaled, or nearly equaled, the once mighty Sony in the console wars. Where the Playstation brand is trending downwards, the Xbox brand is growing ...
I'm assuming he's referring to cross game invites and the amount of time it takes to bring up the XMB while in game.
I agree tho. PSN+ is awesome, but my primary method of online gaming is going to continue to be Xbox live because of the features you listed.
Insomnium...can you read? He's saying that's what he thinks will happen.
I'm betting these predictions come true, but we'll have to wait and see.
Oh and as far as I know those saying Kinect is BS haven't changed their tune :\ Kinect gets its sales from new 360 owners.
Going by Sony's Move device, the PS4 will very likely have peripherals similar to the WiiU. Much like the current Move, I have no iterest in playing a slightly upgraded version of a crappy Nintendo product.
Meanwhile, Kinect 2.0 has some serious Minority Report-like potential. It's a joke now, but Microsoft could really make something out this.
Either way I'll be sticking with a regular controller next gen.
My 360 broke in 2009. My PS3 broke once in 2008 and once in 2011 ($300 repair cost btw, compared to $0 for 360). It's only on N4G where the horrible failure rate of PS3's is ignored.
I am three of the 70 million PS3's out there. It would be interesting to see the true number of consoles.
Here's to lower failure rates next gen so we can actually compare.
@blackbeld
Thanks for the laugh.
As for you original comment, at this point in time, so late into the generation, a few million PS3 lead in completely irrelevant. This gen has seen the deterioration of the Playstation brand and the growth of the Xbox brand. There isn't much more to be told.
Being on new gen.
Well deserved reward for 343i. Halo 4 has got to be the most complete game of the generation thus far.
Great performances for Xbox 360 and 3DS.
Xbox 360 and PS3 are tied in sales. This is a HUGE victory for Microsoft.
The original Xbox was barely a blip in the 6th generation of consoles, while the PS2 and PS1 were kings. This gen, Microsoft has destroyed the dominance of the Playstation brand (Sony did it to themselves, arguably).
Let's face the facts: the Xbox 360 finishing tied with PS3 at the end of this gen would be a MASSIVE victory for Microsoft. Hell, if the PS3 sells only 10 million more...
Xbox 360 has 13 currently untitled exclusive games slated for 2013. Not including Kinect games.

Good attempt at trolling. Website voted down.
Like Sony with PS+ subscribers, Microsoft doesn't release numbers of Xbox Live Gold members.
In 2010 they were quoted as saying about half of XBL are gold members. Applying these stats (the only ones available) means that Xbox Live Gold members number between 20-25 million.
Until Valve or Sony can do better, online console gaming is best done on Xbox Live.
Fact.
Should be interesting to see since these sales are for the last week of November...
@PeZuS
"I mean sales from now on worldwide."
That is some hardcore grasping of straws. Wow.
This generation will go down in history as the emergence of the Xbox 360, the domination of the casual Nintendo Wii, and the collapse of the Playstation brand.
Not saying the PS3 isn't a success. But when compared to the PS2...well...just take a look a Sony's current financial situation.
@RBG
lol, I know you're not big on Wikipedia, but viewing the links would have made you look a lot more intelligent.
Go count those first party studios.
@Neverending
Some of those games are probably in development for Xbox 720.
Xbox Live has never been hacked. XBL accounts are sometimes victims of phishing scams, 100% different than a hack.
So yes, but that logic XBL is clearly more secure.
@Sanquine
Free games for a monthly subscription?
LOL. Only is this generation...
