I've been just as confused as you with all this controller latency talk. I didn't experience it, nor has anyone else I know personally. I keep reading about it on N4G though.

I don't think there is going to be multiplayer in U2. I know a lot of people are speculating on this, but I just don't think its going to happen. Personally, I'm fine with that.
That could have something to do with the fact that its not polished and finished, but that's just a theory.

I don't think Zipper is going to ever make a SOCOM game again. You could tell where they were going with their ideas in SOCOM 3 (the vehicles, open maps, etc) and now they are creating MAG. See what they did there? I think they are moving on. IMO, Slat Six did an admirable job. Confrontation IS SOCOM in its purest state, with the exception of the buggy launch. I see no problem with it in its current form. Great game.
The community is massive, mature, and active. I've nearly put as many hours into SOCOM as I did MGS4 last summer, and that was in my PS3 from June until October.

I will eat my own head if somehow this game is better than MGS4 for me. It just isn't happening. To each his own, I guess.

I suppose Blu-Ray's size would be relevant to game length if we were still using PS2/Xbox resources. Use your head, guy. Space on a disk goes towards other resources. Think about HD texture variety, 7.1 sound, more detailed environments, animations, etc. Take a minute and think once in awhile and you won't come off as such an ignorant assclown.
