get more publicity? It seems like the kind of game that gamers would really get in to. Is it the art style? I think it works plus the gameplay looks fun (online co-op, head-to-head online skirmishes, and the single player option).
If you like games with action and a little bit of strategy thrown in, this game is for you. While I never played the first one (never owned a GC), I am definitely picking this up. It has a couple of different online modes and should be fun kicking someone's but online.
be buying this one! Now, all they need to add is voice chat and I'll be happy.
This is current gen, not next-gen. The next-gen is not out yet and when it does come out, it will be current gen.
Now, you must understand something about Nintendo. While they did okay with the Gamecube which was arguably more powerful than the PS2, they came in 3rd place. For a company that survives on their own hardware and software, that would not do. They had to approach the industry from a different perspective. That meant bowing out of the arms race and focusing on some...
it is not next-gen, it is current gen. Let's stop using that word cause it gets misused all the time.
about the branded Wii except maybe to sell it on EBay. What I really want is that 50 inch plasma tv. [drools like Homer Simpson]
Ubuntu is one of the easiest linux distros to use. I highly recommend it. It's what I use daily. The biggest thing is that you can't beat the price, $0.
I'll be picking that one up next year as long as they nail the controls.
Matt Cassamassina at www.ign.com, the controls are better than Metroid Prime 3 and it runs at 60 fps with no noticeable lag. If I were into that type of game, I might actually pick it up.
P.S. He also mentioned that he prefers playing it without the zapper or that you don't really need it.
what's with "My Housekeeping Diary" and why is it #8 on that list? I'll never understand Japanese tastes and they probably never understand American's tastes neither.
The telling part of this interview is that he says that it is easy to say that they won't take the easy way out because they are making a profit. He goes on to say that if they weren't making a profit, they would probably take the easy way out.
To address your comment UnsungHero, Iwata does clarify that is not to say they will not make sequels but that they want to do something that will attract gamers.
that MS should be bragging about keeping their price point the longest considering they didn't have competition for 12 of those 21 months. Since, the price of components drops over time, it should have been easy for them to drop their price a mere $50 or am I missing something here?
I guess the same can be said for the PS2, whose record of 19 months, they beat. They also were out a year before the competition.
witty comment IronWolf. I bust out laughing as soon as I read it.
I was watching the Gamespot podcast and they broadcast their show from the EA complex. I saw where they had Medal of Honor for the Wii and they were playing with the Wii Zapper. I have to admit that it looks like fun especially when you reload or simulate the bazooka on your shoulder. One of the employees said that when you simulate the bazooka, you get the rumble and the sound of it going off from the speaker.
A third party is actually making money from selling games on the Wii and their stock has risen as a result. Maybe the rest of the world besides Ubisoft and EA will get a clue.
likes Wii Sports and other mini-games but she won't touch anything else. Our whole family, however, loves playing board games.
"even though essentially I'm paying 20 smackers for a mini-game and a hunk of plastic."
Yeah, that's the problem. I am sure that tons of people will buy it but no game really needs the zapper even though it may be optimized for it. You can simulate the same actions sans the zapper. As for the mini-game, I won't be able to bring myself to buy it just for crossbow training.
all Star Wars fans have been salivating about since the Wii came out. Bring it on!
I believe that Medal of Honor will have online multiplayer (16 players) as well as Nitrobike and the other two mentioned by another poster.
I have never owned a Gamecube, PS2 or an XBox and I bought a Wii in January. The last gaming console that I owned before the Wii was a PS1 but this little thing called life got in the way (i.e. marriage, school, kids) and I gave it away. Well, my kids are older (3 & 4) and they love playing Wii Sports, Wii Play and Super Monkey Ball, but I spend more time on it than they do with the virtual console, MP3, Mario Strikers and Madden 07. I plan on picking up BW2, Zach & Wiki, Super Mar...
