i dont think the 360 is in any trouble at the moment. the 360 is $200 and that alone will guarantee it will sell alot of consoles. parents that buy systems dont really care about the HD, they're kids might but the kid's arent the ones buying consoles.
we dont know much about what games microsoft has instore for 2009, but they have a pretty big back catalouge of games for 360 owners.

its' a damn youtube video, there's no way to tell the quality of the actual game's graphics this way. any and every game will look like ass at this low quality. killzone 2 and gears would look like crap if they were recorded like this.

keep the HD at 80 gigs. pack in an old game for free, like uncharted 1, wipeout, resistance 1, Lair(lol), heavenly sword.
