You can't really blame the guy at Ebay, he is making a sell- if people are WILLING to pay that kind of money, then why should he be labled as the bad guy. What should the guy do? Say no, I can't accept that fat wad of cash because it didn't cost me as much. That's what businesses do all the time- sell the product for more than they make it in order to make PROFIT.
If you don't think that the PS 3 is harder to develop for... than what do you think is going on? That all the devs are lazy?

considering all the triple A titles coming out on consoles, I don't think Strangehold being delayed will upset TOO many people.
but, as of now, Strangehold will probably not manage to sell more than its 360 counterpart because of all the NEW games coming out, like Halo 3 and PGR 4 (I'm just speculating folks). Don't get me wrong, including a bluyray dvd w/ the game is cool... But, Strangehold coming out in September runs the serious risk of being overshadowed by Halo 3 and PGR 4. It also rejuvinates the old rumor/fact that PS 3 is hard to develop for (Okay, the rumor is not that old). This was a bad decision.
Lets just play GTA 4. It might just turn out to be a superb game and didn't require extra space. If thats the case, than Rockstar's decision to only use a standard DVD has nothing to do w/ how ambitious they are. What I'm saying is let's not to try to assume Rockstar's intentions for GTA4. Just play the game before saying "this [developers forgoing quality over DVD space] is a worrying trend". If it sucks then complain.
You NEED an HD to play games. Its not really an option, unless you just plan on staying up all night. However, you have to regonize that the Core may be MS's only chance at breaking at the mainstream market and, possibly, stealing Wii's thunder (please, please, please). At the very least, they should include a memory stick, so those that buy the system don't have to go out of their way to purchase an HD.

to be fair, the article only devoted one question to Kim. Kim just replied that, given the 360's consumer base, it would make sense (wouldn't it?) Not really a rumor, or even speculation. From the headline you would think that the entire article is about MGS 4.
We all know that the possiblity of MGS 4 coming to the 360 is slim, so there's no need to try and prove anything.
To be honest, this argument really won't have that much of an effect on how developers and publishers make games. And as games get more and more advanced... People will see the quality go up too. Who says videogames can't be art?
So I would just ignore these dumba$$ theory that "games = crazy physchopath", There will always be people waiting to blame videogames for something (for example, my mom).
I've had my premuim since launch, and the only accessory that I bought was another controller. But look, Most consoles offer hard drive so that when a gamer play his/her games then he/she can play from the start. Lets face it, if you just bought the COre and went home, you'd either have to keep the machine on forever, or constantly restart. You buy the premuim and viola! Your good to go and can save/load games, purchase demos and movies. Oh, and PC's don't apply to this argument since console...
the Sony gaming division would really be taking heavy losses regardless of how many consumers purchased the system. It costs too much to manafacture... So dropping it to $400 bucks would be very unlikely. but who knows?

Ghetto Cheeze (such names!), but right now I would consider MS's decision to keep the CORE as more of a press advantage to average consumers. You know, so if push comes to shove, then MS can say look you can play Halo 3, Bioshock, and GT4 on the 360 for only $300. But I agree, the core is more of a hinderance since those who buy will have to eventually upgrade (at least they have the choice of waiting until they have enough money).

How will discontinuing the CORE hurt the CORE owners who already own the system? Its not like there gonna buy another CORE, right?
