So I doubt you're telling the truth. The game was NEVER even rumored to have a MP mode.
What is Sony supposed to do? Most games these days have tacky half-done multiplayer modes just because they can, which most of the time isn't need, like Tomb Raider.

The game renders at 1920x1080, but they gone for a widescreen aspect ratio to give the game a more cinematic feel apparently. The space between the bars is 1920x800, so it still has the full 1080p clarity.
Also, they were targeting 30FPS, not 60. 60 is probably possible, but for 3PS games it isn't really needed. Infamous SS is also 1080p 30FPS for the same reason.
