Large companies like Microsoft have policies regarding communication of company information by their employees, as condition of employment. Orth violated those policies - even tho his tweets were in jest. Orth is terminated, end of story.

This has nothing to do with First Amendment rights.

If you work for any corporation such as Microsoft there are policies in place for communication of company information / trade secrets. All employees are trained on these policies. Orth most likely violated those policies with his tweets even tho they were in jest. Given the secretness and sensitivity of the subject matter Microsoft deemed termination appropriate, and I would agree.

Yes. Thank You. Xbox 360 Launched at $399, PS3 at $499/$599. The Wii at $249. The Wii U is launching at $349 - (for comparison sake i'm ignoring the $299 model since it has no pack in game). Now when you bought your original Wii chances are you wanted at least one extra Wiimote and Nunchuck so that was an extra $60 or $70 right there. The Wii U black you don't need to buy anything extra since all your Wii controllers work. I can't believe all the crying over $50 expected price di...

They're patenting a universal remote control app for the iphone/ipod. The iphone/ipod can act as a controller for a video game console.

Ideally for PS2 games if you have a PS2 game disc you could stick it in the PS3 and Gaikai would use that to determine you have an authenticated copy of the game. The PS3 wouldn't play the game directly off the disc but would stream the game from Gaikai. This could be free as part of a PS+ membmership. But I wonder if the PS2 discs are copyable this wouldn't work from Sony's point of view, pirates could download the iso.

Onlive has Playpacks which are a set of g...

Cell is already emulated on x86 architecture. You can download a cell emulator and write programs on your linux pc to run on the cell emulator. No doubt Sony already has an RSX emulator. So this go around BC is not a technical decision its a business one.

As I said below IBM screwed over Sony by reusing the Cell core in Xenon, so no surprise Sony is going with AMD. Without Cell there is no Xenon and no Xbox360.

you have no idea what you're talking about

The Cell is already emulated on x86 architecture. RSX on the other hand may be a problem, unless Sony owns the architecture and not nVidia. No surprise Sony is ditching IBM as they screwed Sony over by reusing the Cell core for Xenon enabling Xbox 360 to launch a year earlier.

Starting with an integrated cpu / gpu off the bat should save huge $$$, and don't be surprised if it is backward compatible.

Even a PS3 plugged into wireless bridge like a Netgear WHNDE111 works better than the PS3 directly on wireless. Go figure.

Something to do with the design of the wireless receiver causing either PSN or the ISP to throttle anything going to it. I'm too lazy and don't care enough right now to go find where i read that.

I tried the dmz configuration and the proxy trick, and neither worked. Model is non-bc fat 40G PS3 and network is wireless. I then bought a powerline ethernet adapter and went to a wired connection and download speeds more closely match other devices on the network.

I read somewhere it has something to do with the wireless receiver in the fat PS3 but it doesn't make any sense to me.

Then again for movies i just stream them on my xbox360 instantly. Its ju...

i have a 20G launch full BC. (160G replacment drive). It died playing GTPrologue 1.5 year ago YLOD. Got it repaired by Sony last year, now the fan is kicking in heavy. I don't think its going to last much longer, please hold out till PS4. My launch fat PS2 still works.

well weren't a couple of high profile marketing types just let go or left Sony? they just couldn't get a marketing message across. Really their marketing during the ps3 era has been pretty bad.

A troll of an article disingenuously designed to generate hits. Well it succeeded but hear this game pro as long as you keep passing off trolls as journalists I won't be visiting your site or buying your magazine.

Infamous2 just got the move patch and its pretty awesome. Sony's got more first party Aaa titles that support it.

It's about the games theyre both very different. I'd rather play a dance game on kinect and I'd rather play a shooter with move. Gladiator duel on sports champions and the fight were great monpve games that aren't shooters.

I'd love if they did a Last Airbender game for Kinect. Could you imagine mastering all the tai chi ...
