God of War Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus are both gems. Ive also heard great things about Patapon and Valkyria Chronicles 2.
Kinda cool how it has the peace walker/mgs4 over the shoulder aim, but wont be buying a 3ds for this one game in 3d when I already have the collection on Ps3.
That stupid argument is so god damn old. MGS games have always had great stories that were developed by the cut scenes. yea there are alot of them but that is what gives you necessary character development and plot development. The whole "who wants to play a game with tons of cutscenes" bullshit is stupid. It's like saying "yea The Lord of the Rings sucked because like only 30 minutes of it was fighting scenes and the rest was boring talking and traveling scenes."
I got those before i started the vr missions. I thought i was gonna breeze through the vr missions (Ive nevr played them)and have my plat in like an hour. 28 gameplay hours later, and im at about 89 percent done. Underestimated em abit lol.

A game like this sells two million while so many underplayed gems barely reach one million, if that.
Obviously Golden Abyss doesnt look as good, but its still pretty damn impressive.
Actually having Solid in there does indicate a true mgs game if you ask me.
Think about metal gear acid for the psp.. would you consider that as being part of the series? I sure as hell don't.

Lemme explain. Metal Gear Solid has only gotten better in my eyes. I loved the original and every game after that was just also awesome. While I do agree that rising is just a spin off at this point, but its not messing with the plot line and even kojima said its not a true 'Metal Gear Solid' but a 'Metal Gear'. But in no way have mgs 2,3,or 4...

I mean don't get me wrong, portal 2 coop is awesome.. really awesome..but BF3 shoulda won hands down. I mean for crying out loud, that game was practically made for the multiplayer. That's how good it is!!

Really though Battlefield 3 is an example of what sadly may come in the future. That is, awesome mulitplayer games with crappy, tacked on, and all around boring single player modes.
